It's arguable that the funniest song ever written is "All Things Bright & Beautiful". At about age 13 or 14, I wrote this additional verse

The malarial mosquito,
The bubonic-carrying rat,
He must have made the lot of them;
So what do you think of that?

which seemed to me {& still does} to underline the idiocy of Mrs Alexander's portentously fatuous original.
