The festival season is now well underway in the UK. The tents are being aired out and travel plans made. All the essential food groups are being stocked (beer+bacon) in readiness for a weekend sat in a field somewhere.

The high point of my season will be the gathering at Cropredy in Oxfordshire to see Fairport Convention and a superb line up of guests.

I was wondering, are many other Mudcatters planning to go, maybe we could meet up for a yarn, a pint and a song.

Sledge - I wish with all my heart I could be there, so have several pints for me, sing alot, have more pints and fall over (onto something soft).
Have a great time
Patrish

Would love to see The Incredible Sring Band, but can't...

Enjoy it!

Worry not, several beers will be consumed and no doubt the cows will leave something soft nearby to fall into.

Mmmm... Firport Convention... Ye Gods I'd kill to see 'em!

Not theirs, but you'll know what I mean...

She drifted from some minor festival.
Didn't look like any summer of love:
Just a thousand weekend warriors in a muddy field.
She was the hand to fit my glove.
Funny thing, the innocence of the lonely.
Funny thing, the charm of the young.

*sigh*

Well I'm hoping to be there. How do we make correct ID in all that crowd? Bron.

Wear your official MudCat Tee shirts........or get BillButtons. Make a MudCat flag to fly from the pavilion. Sing weird, innuendo-ous songs, that only Mbo knows the words to. Walk around calling out for Edgar Cayce. (ok ok, I'll shut up now. I won't be there)

Llanfair,

I gather that our little gang will be flying a flag to mark our area of tentage, once I know what flag I'll post. There is also talk of a suitable T shirt, again keep ya posted.

Refresh..

It's almost time to be going home to Englands green and pleasant land so I won't be around too much.

As for the festival, the T shirt idea has fallen over, it seems though we will have a flag, a very large Naval ensign (probably stolen).

I am going to get a mudcat shirt from Bill on my return to Blighty, so if any mudcatters are there keep an eye out for said item of clothing. Otherwise look out for a short fat beardy bloke with an armful of new CD's and an equally new instrument that he has no idea how to play, and a skinful (maybe).

A revised plan for the week also now entails Saturday, 5th August to be spent at Sidmouth as its just down the road. See ya there.
