I'm now in Hertford with Jacqui C. if anyone wants to contact me. I'll be at Hastings this weekend, and probably in London the following weekend. |

Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's great adventure From: SINSULL Date: 27 Apr 04 - 10:14 PM Hey Kendall, your puppy misses you. A van pulled up today as I walked him and a man who looked a little like you stepped out. Seamus nearly pulled me off my feet getting to him then looked at me disappointed. He needs some rough play and a catfree house. Although he and Fred play together. Fun to watch. Mary |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's great adventure From: jacqui.c Date: 28 Apr 04 - 03:06 AM I dreamed about him last night. Give him a hug for me. How about you take something of mine, an old shirt or whatever, and leave it on his bed? I've decided to not stay the full time, but don't know yet just when I'll be home. 6 weekes is too long,I have so much to do on the boat, and I miss home. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's great adventure From: jacqui.c Date: 28 Apr 04 - 03:11 PM Went to London by train today with Jacqui. Met Ellenpoly who guided me around the city. We went to the British museum where I saw some of the things I've always wanted to see. The Rosetta stone and the parts of the Parthenon which were borrowed by Lord Elgin. Spent quite a bit of time riding the double deck buses, which was a treat in itself. They put those things through spaces I wouldn't try a mini. Westminster cathedral, the big wheel and the Horse guards. If they needed guarding, why were they out on the street? On to Trafalgar Square, and to Downing street, but Tony wasn't around to let us in. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's great adventure From: Keith A of Hertford Date: 28 Apr 04 - 03:19 PM A sailor like yourself would enjoy Greenwich, and of course the Tower nearby. I PMd some more local sites you could get to by bus. Keith. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's great adventure From: Amos Date: 28 Apr 04 - 03:34 PM Kendall, I am so jealous I can't speak. You are a rat for having so much fun and me here working my butt off!! :>) But keep on enjoying it, Skipper. We miss yuh! A |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's great adventure From: SINSULL Date: 28 Apr 04 - 05:36 PM Just delivered Seamus to your house to be tended by Rebecca. He had a long walk in the woods and a ride in the car. My house seems empty without a large ball of fur tripping me up. I will get him a shirt to snuggle. Meantime my brother and his wife are visiting with THEIR DOG! A yippy little terrier who is spoiled beyond belief. Remember Martha and her little runt who was bathed after every romp in the garden? My poor cats. Give me some notice if you are coming back earlier. I will have to move out the renters. SINS |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's great adventure From: Deckman Date: 28 Apr 04 - 05:42 PM Damnit Sins ... you promised we could all come over and party at Kendalls house while he was gone. I remember you said that we didn't need to worry about the furniture or the neighbors!!! (hee hee) Bob |

Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's great adventure From: Keith A of Hertford Date: 01 May 04 - 10:50 AM Kendal, in my PM , one of the places I suggested was St.Albans about 15 miles from Hertford. I hear that Mel Gibson's next film is to be about Boudicia, the warior queen who led a revolt against the Romans. She destroyed the town of Verulameum whose excavated streets can be walked in present day St.Albans. Keith. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's great adventure From: jacqui.c Date: 03 May 04 - 07:52 AM We did St. Albans last friday. It was cold and wet, but I'm glad I saw it. This weekend, we went to Hastings for the Jack in the green festival, with a stop in Battle. My ancestors landed there in 1066 with Wm. the Conqueror. Looking around the town of Hastings, I got to wondering why they landed in such a crowded place...all those cars and crazy bastards on the wrong side of the road just looking for someone to run over. And the parking fees! outrageous! No wonder they killed each other! |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall's great adventure From: Noreen Date: 03 May 04 - 02:53 PM Glad you got such a lot out of being shown the sights, Kendall! |
