Maybe if he hadn't been leaving on a jet plane the thing would never have been taken. Is that the lesson to be learned from this? It wasn't the last thing on my mind.

I guess that, because all men are brothers, someone was kind enough to give Peter the heads-up on the ebay ad?

So, what you're saying is that the guitar will soon be rolling home?

I did wonder initially if it were the FBI that had taken the guitar and had been studying it all these years for evidence of subversive activities. However, it appears that the FBI were just doing their duty, after being alerted by the citizenry.

There should be enough info here for a new song!
