Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Tavern is open and I .... From: MMario Date: 04 Aug 05 - 04:31 PM Why are there so many songs about rainbows And what's on the other side? Rainbows are visions, but only illusions, And rainbows have nothing to hide. So we've been told and some choose to believe it I know they're wrong, wait and see. Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection, The lovers, the dreamers and me. Who said that every wish would be heard and answered When wished on the morning star? Somebody thought of that, and someone believed it, And look what it's done so far. What's so amazing that keeps us stargazing And what do we think we might see? Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection, The lovers, the dreamers, and me. All of us under its spell, We know that it's probably magic... ... Have you been half asleep? And have you heard voices? I've heard them calling my name. ... Is this the sweet sound that calls the young sailors? The voice might be one and the same I've heard it too many times to ignore it It's something that I'm s'posed to be... Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection, The lovers, the dreamers, and me. Laa, da daa dee da daa daa, La laa la la laa dee daa doo |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Tavern is open and I .... From: MMario Date: 04 Aug 05 - 04:29 PM There'll be blue birds over The white cliffs of Dover, Tomorrow, just you wait and see. There'll be love and laughter And peace ever after Tomorrow, when the world is free. The shepherd will tend his sheep, The valley will bloom again And Jimmy will go to sleep, In his own little room again. There'll be blue birds over The white cliffs of Dover, Tomorrow, just you wait and see. |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Tavern is open and I .... From: MMario Date: 04 Aug 05 - 04:17 PM well - all male bees are half-bees; (They are haploid, females are diploid) Of course many species of bees the female does manage to eviscarate the male during the mating flight - so then the poor guy is only half a half bee. |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Tavern is open and I .... From: beardedbruce Date: 04 Aug 05 - 04:12 PM here's a song... Half a bee, philosophically, Must, ipso facto, half not be. But half the bee has got to be Vis a vis, its entity. D'you see? But can a bee be said to be Or not to be an entire bee When half the bee is not a bee Due to some ancient injury? La dee dee, one two three, Eric the half a bee. A B C D E F G, Eric the half a bee. Is this wretched demi-bee, Half-asleep upon my knee, Some freak from a menagerie? No! It's Eric the half a bee! Fiddle de dum, Fiddle de dee, Eric the half a bee. Ho ho ho, tee hee hee, Eric the half a bee. I love this hive, employee-ee, Bisected accidentally, One summer afternoon by me, I love him carnally. He loves him carnally, Semi-carnally. |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Tavern is open and I .... From: Don Firth Date: 04 Aug 05 - 03:57 PM Normally, with Doug buying, I would opt for a glass of Charles Shaw wine and ask Doug for his recommendation as to variety, but it's a pretty hot day here in Seattle. 90 degrees. So that would seem to call for a nice, cold beer. Just recently I was introduced to a brown ale brewed in Montana that just made it's appearance here. Moose Drool. Sounds ghastly, but it's a great beer! Thanks, Doug! Don Firth |
