Pseudolus,

I've been at Mudcat since 1997 and I've met 4 Mudcatters. But who's counting? :-) And in the case of Mudcat it's quality and not quantity that counts.

In my case it's the fact of living on a very, very large island surrounded (girt) by sea with a relatively small population. (Who's Gert?)

Helen,
I've had the pleasure of meeting Seamus Kennedy, although I've known him since before hangin out here at Mudcat. So you're right Helen, it's quality not quantity!

I really need to get out to a gathering sometime.... :)

Frank

P.S. Ya think maybe Seamus put out the word? and warned everyone about me? :)

The elves have been travelling far and wide in an attempt to fill your requirements. They are threatening to demand an increase in mileage allowances and extra beer rations!!!

They reminded me that at this time of year I need to wish you Happy Samhain if I do not want to get into trouble.

Oi, Elves!! You are not employed as General Festival Elves, get back in those green tights and jingly hats and get on with your work!

But just in case, it's a busy week here....

Happy Samhain, Eid ul Fitur, Diwali, All Saints Day and Rastafarian Accession of Heile Salassi!

Well, Santy, I am a 38 year old girl folksinger - fiddler - bellydancer - knitter - graduate student (literature). I have many interests and am not at all particular about what Santa brings me. However I do enjoy trinkets and geegaws (and sweets!) that have to do with your part of the world. :-)

To my Yuletide Benefactor: if you are unsure as to how long six feet is, I suggest the best way to figure it out is to straighten the alligator(or crocodile) out on the floor. It can be quite difficult to make it stay straight, a rope at either end tied off to opposite doorknobs or something may be necessary.(Don't make the common mistake of tying off to drawer handles, these animals are quite powerful and can pull drawers right out). Then you lie down beside it. If it's longer than you are, then it's too big to be my present.

It looks like there are 88 Santa/Santees this year from the content of the threads, but it also looks like there are 20 who haven't heard from their Santas.

Come on you Elusive Santas, hint to your Santees and spread that Christmas Cheer!

,,,yes Guest point well made.
It would also be helpful if some of the Santees who haven't let their Santa's know their likes and dislikes posted some info too!!
That way furry, petite sized, Pink Bedsocks don't go to a Mudcat Misters (unless that's what a particular MM wants) and that old Christmas classic bottle of "Old Spice" doesn't arrive to grace one of the Mudcat Women's dressing Tables...( unless that's what any of the MW requested!!)**BG**
Info is power, the power to shop/make/the right choice for the right Santee and the difference between getting a pressie someone likes or a pressie someone just plain   .... get my drift....!!!!!
54 days till Chrimbo....anyone still got info to share...don't be shy..***pixie smile***

How poetic. I'm happy to know that I have a Santa. I have been good all year, or as good as can be expected. Anyway I'm pretty easy to please. I'm into loads of stuff. Irish trad. Texas folk; like Guy Clark, Townes VanZandt. Although I do have most of their stuff. I collect Asterix the Gaul stuff, especially the little Plastoy figures. I'm a soccer nut. I like the colour green. I'm a graphic design book junky. And on and on.

I'm sorry, mate. I have not forgotten you. I just have not been around these parts much, trying to get my bloody elves iin line....Can you believe the little bastards actually went on strike? They said I wasn't giving them any pay or benefits...and they wanted Christmas off...I feed them, I clothe them...and the benefit is I let the little blighters live in the warmth under a roof...instead of outside in the cold...I sent my reindeer after them...and they'll sort things out in short order.

In that vein, I do hope you remember what it was Major Benjy suggested, as long as it's not some kind of fish!

Ouch! Bummer!!!!!!!!

I have dispatched the elves hither and yon, barraging my Santee with weekly cards. So now I address these wishes to all of you, named and unnamed, who have not heard from your Santas. (Those named I have addressed by said monikers; those unnamed, if you had groused publically, I would have named you too.)

Mooman, I wish you manifold the peace you wish to all of us so bounteously. I also wish you a giant PIECE of Christmas pudding!

Cllr, I wish you all the ColLoRs of the rainbow to decorate your life.

Crane Driver, I wish you a smooth highway for your journey, and may others do the heavy lifting.

Stephen Lee, may your you and your new bride have a life as full of unexpected surprises with happy conclusions as your wedding.

Seaking, may you find everything your heart desires under the tree and in life in general.

Megan C., may you always see clearly the right way before you. C also stands for cake, carols, and Christmas—may the three come together abundantly.

Alba, may your voice echo from the mountains and return to you all the beauty you give to the world.

JacquiC, may you and your Kendall live long to make music and merriment together.

To you and everyone else whose Santas have not yet shown up, may it be because they are sooooo engrossed in preparing something very special for you that they have lost track of time and all else, and have simply forgotten to post a wee message to their dear Santees.

God bless us every one!

A lonely Santa

Your svelte and sexy sometimes Saint
Would have more fun observing paint,
Which dries so slowly (near the Pole)
The stillness nearly kills the soul!
But still, with paint, something DOES change
Although quite small in breadth and range;
Unlike the still where Vixen, Dancer,
And my svelte self await your answer.
Therefore, I urge you, do give forth
With hints to us so far up North.
Or else we'll stop at Mrs Grundy's
And buy you brand-new Big Girl undies.

We have been very busy helping Santa choose some goodies for you and soon, very soon, we will be making The Big Trip to the post box.

Unfortunately we couldn't send the champagne so we decided to drink it ourselves (geddit? oursELVES? no?.......never mind) and it was very nice so thank you.

So Green, Eire Trad, Footy, Astrix, Texan Folk and Graphic design Books.
Sure , not a bother there at all.
Being that you and this particular Elf have more in common that ye know I am sure that I can come up with a few somethings to make ye smile this Yule season.
So...I'll away and see what I can magic up for your good self. This Elf will of course be back (frequently) to keep ye informed of my progress!

pppp? Procrastinating puzzling (or, puzzled) something or other? Or just very very pianissimo? Rumor has it that you've been chasing around the States, anyway. Santa's here! Honest! Scrounging around for fishy or car things--or maybe, fishy cars? Santa is less up on either of those things than he is on many other things--but Santa doesn't whine.   Anyway, I hope you're safely home from your wanderings, or else having a good old time and will be safely home eventually. Be of good cheer!
