GUEST,stagemanager_x Collective Noun for ballads (70* d) Collective Noun for ballads 13 Nov 07

After listening to Norman Kennedy sing and talk at MIT last night, a couple of us were discussing ballads. The recent "Ballad Blast" at NOMAD came up and I found the term a little unsatisfying: maybe a blast of sea chanteys, but a blast of ballads?! We quickly moved from event names to collective nouns, and came up with:
a quarrel of ballads
a length of ballads
a sitting of ballads

      ...but I know there's better.

So who out there has a good collective noun for ballads?
