It is a favorite game of the anti-war protesters and terrorist apologists to try to spin the definition terrorist to apply to the coalition forces who are trying to establish a democratic government in Iraq.

It does not work. It is failed logic.

It is similar to the way a few people on the ghettos claim the police are evil and the drug dealers are the good guys.

Uncle Sam

So who killed Hassan, why and whose fault was it?

A. Terrorists.

B. Because they do not want a democracy in Iraq.

C. It is the fault of protestors who give them reason to believe they will suceed if they murder enough good and innocent people.

Uncle Sam

GUEST, US I think there are two threads going on here. The first is the one that can be read above. The second is one that does not appear to exist outside your head. No-one is "apologizing for the terrorists" (I think you mean "being an apologist for the terrorists", by the way). No-one is trying to "blame her murder on others" - it seems to be a pretty unanimous consensus from all the posters that it is the work of terrorists. You seem to be displaying a similar trait to your beloved Mr Bush by launching pre-emptive strikes on people who haven't attacked you.

You anti-war protesters are apologizing for the terrorists, feeding their desire to kill people like Hassan and trying to blame her murder on others.

You are having feelings of guilt and you are trying to cover it up.

Uncle Sam

Doug R and Martin Gibson - The fecal matter was spread by Bush and Bliar, Margaret Hassan's murderers just took root in it!

Most Muslims are not terrorists but most terrorists are Muslims!

DougR - I suspect that (as usual?) you didn't bother to read the linked article. If you had, it would have been hard to avoid stumbling over phrases such as the following. I suspect that those endorsing the article also endorse these statements.

"The murder of Margaret Hassan: it was barbaric and ruthless...

The hooded man's definition of resistance approaches insanity...

Hassan's killer may have been nothing more than a psychopathic bandit...

Hassan's murder suggests that what many Iraqis call "resistance" has become utterly debauched, callous beyond comprehension...

Others, like the murderer of Margaret Hassan, are ruthless, opportunistic bandits...

And poor Margaret Hassan, who loved them and abhorred the attack upon them, will not just be on the conscience of the pig who put her to death..."

This article is by a whining Scot.

Blaming Bush and Blair for this monstrous calculated murder by barbarian savages is completely full of fecal matter.

go ahead, justify this Arab madness. I could give a flying fuck what you think.

I thought this was a good article because it talks about the horrible contradictions of this age. as it shows, both sides in that horrible war have good reasons to loathe the other side, both sides are commiting hate crimes and butchery. talk about human rights seems like a sort of privilege, living in a country that does not have war on its soil.

At the turn of the century Margaret Hassan was in no danger at all inside Iraq. Do we wonder who changed that? I've heard that Somebody's "god" spoke in his ear----

I second the opinion about feeding trolls.

As hard as this murder is to comprehend, I put it in the realm of what I call a 'sacred killing'. You see this happen in on-going entrenched political warfare where there is tremendous imbalances of power between the warring groups. The group that does the murdering murders a person sacred in some way to either it's own side or their enemy's. Sadly and depressingly, these sorts of sacred killings among warring factions are not all that uncommon these days.

These are the darkest of killings, intended to strike at the very heart of reason, hence their effectiveness and their depravity. Most killing in wartime is senseless slaughter. This wasn't a senseless act, it was a well considered one, aimed straight at the heart of all that Westerners wish to believe about themselves: that we are, or at least believe we have the capacity to be compassionate, caring, and courageous in the face of violence.

What sort of animal could do that to such a caring woman? Not only do I not know their motives, but I suspect they don't either. It's a hate crime, and I hope they rot in whatever hell they believe in for their sins.
Giok
