Subject: RE: Tone Def Leppard From: GUEST,Sir Richard A Date: 08 Aug 06 - 07:15 PM Now I realise. You are talking about the famous band TONE DEAF LEOPARD. My brother gave me duff info.I would be flattered and humbled to direct their D.V.D. Just let me know when they want me and I'll clear mt diary. |
Subject: RE: Tone Def Leppard From: GUEST,Auntie Leopard Date: 08 Aug 06 - 07:09 PM I must remonstrate with that Geordie Porgy. I do not really think that my cubs should be having anything to do with someone who uses such utterly suspect language. They are going to wide steps or somewhere at the weekend. I'm told that this Geordie type may be there also. I hope that they will not get corrupted. |
Subject: RE: Tone Def Leppard From: Geordie-Peorgie Date: 08 Aug 06 - 04:38 PM aah thought Alan Price sang "No! Don't f*** the cardinal" |
Subject: RE: Tone Def Leppard From: fair maiden of nottingham Date: 08 Aug 06 - 12:50 PM I tried to get Richard A..... to direct the DVD, but he said they are protected species and it was crue. So let them do their own thing. |

Subject: RE: Tone Def Leppard From: Girl Friday Date: 07 Aug 06 - 10:21 PM What's your favourite song? That's interesting. Seems "Every Day Story" aka the tractor song is proving popular with "I'm a Rebel" running a close second. Thanks Bob, we look forward to any royalties. Have you considered performing one of ours? Donovan... the most prolific performer of your classics "Gold Watch Blues" and "The Alamo"... Bob Woollett, has just passed over. Suppose no-one is singing your songs now then... never mind eh. We do have plans to leopardise "Hurdy-Gurdy Man". Wait til you all hear that one! Our latest victim is Alan Price's classic re-jigged as "Don't Stop De Carnivore." |
Subject: RE: Tone Def Leppard From: melodeonboy Date: 03 Aug 06 - 09:32 PM My favourite TDL song's got to be "Born To Drink Mild". |
Subject: RE: Tone Def Leppard From: Richard Bridge Date: 03 Aug 06 - 07:10 PM Better than an Unsound Engineer (NB this is a very in-joke. If you were at Nottingham University 1969 to about '72 my mobile disco there was called "Un-sound" and if you turned it upside-down it read "Punosun"). Certainly the best sound rig on campus although the fashionistas tended to like Dave Rasche's originally named "Rock'n'Soul" which was odd as he played virtually no Everly Brothers. Other rigs on campus at the time included "Euphoria" which was so reliable they had a soldering iron kept hot under the mixing desk all the time, "Blunt Needle" who used Mainline amps and Fane Crescendo drivers but the sound was never really huge despite the power, and Raf Orlofski's "Honeybunch" which was mainly notable for its logo which derived from Oz (I think from the famous Schoolkids issue) and would be howled at today by the PC as arrant paedophilia. After selling Un-sound I built "Universal Joint" parts of which re-cycled I still have. |
Subject: RE: Tone Def Leppard From: melodeon king Date: 03 Aug 06 - 03:59 PM ... without bladder control!!! |
Subject: RE: Tone Def Leppard From: Kenneth Ingham Date: 03 Aug 06 - 03:57 PM Oh Bob Dylan - You are my hero. I am humbled to be in your cyber-prsence on this thread. Will you come and play at my folk club? We can only pay you £50. Will that be alright? We don't start til about 9.30pm and we have a sound Engineer!!! I Love you Bob. |
Subject: RE: Tone Def Leppard From: Bird Flu Date: 03 Aug 06 - 02:56 PM Still waiting for the US tour. I hear that Dylan is thinking of asking them to support him! |
Subject: RE: Tone Def Leppard From: Richard Bridge Date: 03 Aug 06 - 11:58 AM No, it was "I'm a Rebel" and I think that was Dion D'mucci. Surely soon they must leopardise "Leader of the Pack" and "Walkin in the Sand"? How about "The Price of Love" - I can see that getting rude... or "The Harvest of Love" (Wurzels, I think) |
Subject: RE: Tone Def Leppard From: bob dylan Date: 03 Aug 06 - 11:34 AM I hear they are doing one of my songs "Leopard Skin Pill Box Hat" I am so proud to be part of the Tone Deaf Leopard experience. Thanx guys, keep the royalties. |
Subject: RE: Tone Def Leppard From: bob dylan Date: 03 Aug 06 - 11:30 AM In my shoes mate. You were always just a pale imitation of me. |

Subject: RE: Tone Def Leppard From: Kenneth Ingham Date: 03 Aug 06 - 11:11 AM "Out Of Control" is that the U2 song? |
Subject: RE: Tone Def Leppard From: Richard Bridge Date: 03 Aug 06 - 03:48 AM I think I'd go for "Crankin by hand" which I think is the title of the tractor song, but a case has to be made for "Out of Control": when you see the audience first take in the subject matter the look on their faces is wonderful. |
Subject: RE: Tone Def Leppard From: GUEST,Boot on t'other foot Date: 02 Aug 06 - 08:29 PM Road Kill Cafe for me. |
Subject: RE: Tone Def Leppard From: Kenneth Ingham Date: 02 Aug 06 - 12:41 PM What's your favourite TDL song? For me it's got to be the one about the tractor and the pork chop in cider .. ha! ha! |

Subject: RE: Tone Def Leppard From: GUEST,Tone Deaf Leopard Date: 30 Jul 06 - 05:58 PM Yes, we do. Trev only has a leopardskin strat copy and those guys have the real deal. They are all welcome to come and audition to join the band. It'll also depend on how GLAM they are, of course! Of course, they will also have to learn to play along to those exotic leopard drum rhythms! Have you all seen the new D.V.D. "TONE DEAF LEOPARD PLAY KNOCKHOLT?" |

Subject: RE: Tone Def Leppard From: Sliding Down The Bannister At My Auntie's House Date: 30 Jul 06 - 12:25 PM These are wonderful people, who run a great club.
