Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Raptor Date: 26 Dec 10 - 05:00 PM Not just snow, Blizzard. Are you gonna shovel it? |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: J-boy Date: 26 Dec 10 - 04:51 PM They're postponing tonight's game because of snow? What's the NFL coming to? Some of the best games I've ever seen were played in blizzard-like conditions! |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 26 Dec 10 - 04:10 PM BTW... nine, NINE, turnovers all season, ALL SEASON, for the Pats. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 26 Dec 10 - 04:04 PM 7 games without a turnover. Did Brady pass Kosar in consecutive completions? I had to go for a walk before dark and he was at 307. Amazing luck. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Raptor Date: 26 Dec 10 - 02:36 PM I'd rather get paid being at the game selling peanuts then spend christmas with my sister! |

Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Raptor Date: 24 Dec 10 - 10:39 AM The players get to do what the rest of us only dream about running up to someone hitting them hard then tackleling them to the ground. I want to do that at the mall while shopping. That ain't work. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Raptor Date: 24 Dec 10 - 10:34 AM Nice catch |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 24 Dec 10 - 07:11 AM Dallas at Arizona TOMORROW? So Kissmeass won't be a total washout!!! Of course, it may not be the best of games but it's better than NO football. Kinda makes me think, tho... pretty crappy to make someone work on Kissmeass. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 23 Dec 10 - 12:40 PM Raptor... Madden impression? |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Jack the Sailor Date: 23 Dec 10 - 10:43 AM I think Carolina will be lucky to score 14 points. Steelers are a good team. they will blow them out. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Raptor Date: 23 Dec 10 - 09:31 AM The team with the most points at the end of the game will win! |

Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Raptor Date: 22 Dec 10 - 07:17 AM Wouldn't it be cool to all of us get togeather for a mudcat meet to watch a game then jam? |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Raptor Date: 22 Dec 10 - 07:15 AM My niners might just lose thier way into the playoffs |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 22 Dec 10 - 05:40 AM Might not be anybody for a while if they tar his father as they are trying to do. I think the NCAA should be investigating the accusers because they must have known about their "accusations" BEFORE he went to Auburn. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Jack the Sailor Date: 22 Dec 10 - 01:50 AM Which NFL team will get Cam Newton? Is he the next McNabb or Vick? Will he be as good as a pro as in college? |

Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Dave MacKenzie Date: 20 Dec 10 - 07:26 PM "I saw 2 kicks yesterday" but I bet all the players were on foot. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 20 Dec 10 - 03:51 PM Dan Connolly runback... oh THAT musta been good. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: dick greenhaus Date: 20 Dec 10 - 01:32 PM Note that the Giants have learned the Gift of Giving for the Christmas season. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Dave MacKenzie Date: 20 Dec 10 - 10:58 AM So Flynn is the first back-up quarterback to start for the Pack since Brett Favre in 1892. Definitely the end of an era. Though didn't you just love that Dan Connolly runback. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Raptor Date: 20 Dec 10 - 07:19 AM What a Sunday |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 20 Dec 10 - 05:17 AM I'm glad I couldn't stay up to watch it. Wore myself out hollering at the reffing in the Colts-Jags game. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Jack the Sailor Date: 19 Dec 10 - 09:35 PM Flynn is looking good so far 10-7 5:33 left in 1st 1/2. Go Packers! |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 19 Dec 10 - 01:21 PM Oh my! I see that now... Rodgers is doubtful with a concussion. Anybody seen Flynn play? Looks like he only played one (or part of, I assume) game this year. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Raptor Date: 19 Dec 10 - 08:39 AM Green Bay are quarterbackless Gissels hubby will wipe himself with them. I'm hoping Seattle and The lambs both go down in flames. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 18 Dec 10 - 01:27 PM Green Bay has impressive numbers, especially in the air game. If their defense steps up they have a good shot at taking the Pats tomorrow. Matter of fact, if I only had yards rushing and receiving per game and individual yards by rushing and receiving to go by, I'd pick GB. Their defense must be doing something right to see the individual yards per catch stats. Could be less confidence in the run game or a lack of patience in the coaching staff, maybe? Again, it'll come down to long game versus mid game and the master of balancing that is The Belly. I think this game will be all about momentum and peaking which The Belly has seemed to make happen... and seems to have made happen given the last two games. Would you like some cheese with your apple pie? (Yes, it is a vague reference.) ext Sunday, I predict either a barn burner or a yawn with The Bills. The Pats seem to sometimes have a hard time with The Bills even when you think it will be a blowout. GO PATS! |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 18 Dec 10 - 11:26 AM Thanks for reminding me... English Premiership football should be on TV now. Great stuff! |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Raptor Date: 18 Dec 10 - 10:22 AM J-boy re-read the thread it's full of soccer fans insulting NFL. This happens anytime football is brought up on the cat. It also happens anytime sport is talked about in general. "My team is the best, Your team sucks..."etc... If we can't have a little jawing or trash talk we might as well be playing chess with those who compleatly miss the point of sports! Without rivalry we are boring! So Bite me! |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: J-boy Date: 17 Dec 10 - 01:01 AM Hey Raptor, we're not on here to insult somebody else's sport. We just want to talk about football. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Raptor Date: 16 Dec 10 - 11:41 PM We can't beat the refs thats for sure taking away touchdowns and unnessarly roughing our players then kicking them out of the game. And to those who think soccer is a real sport "Get a helmet!" paint drying is more exciting! You watch 90 minutes of guys kicking the ball back and fourth when there might be 2 secomds of scoreing in the whole game.Waste of time. No stratagy. BORRING!!! |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 16 Dec 10 - 05:31 PM Dave... heheheheee. I'm sure that thoroughly pisses guest off. Good on ya. Hahahahaaaaa |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Dave MacKenzie Date: 16 Dec 10 - 05:25 PM I can remember when soccer was a form of football. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 16 Dec 10 - 05:22 PM Guest... yes. That's in the title of the thread. Good for you. You might be ready to ride the long school bus someday. Not soon, of course, but someday. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 16 Dec 10 - 02:47 PM Of course, JtS, but Terry was there. And he has FOUR Superbowl rings. And how many other QBs could throw a javelin 245 feet? And how many other QBs called their OWN plays? And how many other QBs were inducted on their FIRST year of eligibilty to the Hall of Fame? I could go on. Dumb ol country boy or smart athelte? He's got my vote as the best QB so far. Oh, Montana was great but I gotta give it to the country boy rube who showed em all how it was done. I could make the same comparision with Joe and Jerry. It don't mean squat. I just like Bradshaw. Say... who is your fav player of all time... the most exciting to watch? I remember Fred Biletnikoff sitting on his helmet on the sidelines chain smoking... and smoking the secondary. He was a wee lad but he shredded the secondary. He got sent to Montréal because he was too short and slow but he didn't stay there long. The coaching of receivers in Canada was far better than in the NFL at that time and was a big help to him. Gosh... memories come back... remember Russ jackson and Stuart? WHAT A COMBO! "If you can touch it, you can catch it" said Number 11. Oops... sorry for the thread drift. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Jack the Sailor Date: 16 Dec 10 - 01:34 PM Niners fan Raptor? Bradshaw was an excellent QB. But I think a lot of men would have thrived with Stalworth and Swan to pass to and Harris in the backfield. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 16 Dec 10 - 11:45 AM Sigh... Pats play at 9:20 AST Sunday. |
