Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 21 Nov 10 - 05:36 PM I agree... but it's Favre, so??? Fantastic drive by the Colts at the half. I was cheering them on every exciting play. This game is shaping up to be what I had hoped it would be. Great stuff. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Dave MacKenzie Date: 21 Nov 10 - 05:24 PM I remember Steve Grogan holding the Pats together in the Superbowl against the Bears after Tony Eason had his career prematurely terminated. See the Boys have won again, and Favre looks like this is definitely his last season. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 21 Nov 10 - 05:18 PM Gosh... I am reminded of past years... clockwork. All cylinders. If they stay healthy and the offensive front line can take on the big defenses, I see SB in the future. Yeah, I know it's just another game but I gotta get excited about them... Grogan broke more bones that any player ever and I watched him do it when I cheered for the Pats as a lad. He didn't have the offensive line protection I see today. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 21 Nov 10 - 04:57 PM Another one.... and another... laser passes and velcro hands from small receivers. And, The Belly backs it up in the red and calls a strike. Yes, I do believe that curve ball was called. Seen him call delay of game too or illegal motion and it worked, more than once. Genious coaching and call plays. I love to watch the mastery of The Belly. His is a fucking wizard. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 21 Nov 10 - 04:28 PM HOW did Brady SEE that and thread that pass to Welker? How did Welker make that happen? That is amazing football. That is coaching and strategy... that is why Yankee football surpasses all other ball sports. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 21 Nov 10 - 04:05 PM Shortly... GO PATS!!!! |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: J-boy Date: 21 Nov 10 - 01:11 AM Colts vs. Patriots. 4.15 CBS. Can't wait! |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 20 Nov 10 - 12:50 PM CBS, 40 minutes, one hour on Tom Landry. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Jack the Sailor Date: 16 Nov 10 - 11:30 PM How about Michael Vick last night? He came to play!! |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 16 Nov 10 - 04:15 PM Too bad he's in Cleveland... who beat the crap out of them recently. It was a great game to watch, though. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 16 Nov 10 - 03:04 PM Stumbled on this. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: J-boy Date: 16 Nov 10 - 12:11 AM Bill has got them firing on all cylinders now. This team is going places. Bet two dollars on it gnu. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: olddude Date: 15 Nov 10 - 06:04 PM Boy was I wrong, the Pats gave Pittsburgh a lesson for sure. Well good for them ... |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Dave MacKenzie Date: 15 Nov 10 - 05:57 PM If the MVP is the guy who makes the most difference to his team, then Hines Ward must be the Steelers'. Would have been a completely different game if he'd been there second half. Big Ben didn't do too bad a job getting the ball to his receivers' hands - it's what happened afterwards that was the problem. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 15 Nov 10 - 05:55 PM It WAS heartening to see the Pats defense step up. If they can sustain the front line drive and the secondary stays healthy...? |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: ranger1 Date: 15 Nov 10 - 05:44 PM Well, it looks like the Pats' defense is starting to come together nicely. How many times did Big Ben go down last night? |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 15 Nov 10 - 03:23 PM Yes, JtS... imagine being on the field and the owner is there because he has the money. Always thought it was just silly. Near as bad as a baseball coach wearing a uniform at a game...not really, though... never knew when Tommy might have ta pinch hit eh? |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Jack the Sailor Date: 15 Nov 10 - 11:13 AM The Cowboys looked much better. But the are the same guys. Terry was right. Jerry, hire yourself a real GM. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Dave MacKenzie Date: 15 Nov 10 - 04:36 AM Were those the same Cowboys in New York last night? The Garret gamble has paid off so far. And the Niners could still make the Superbowl. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 14 Nov 10 - 05:11 PM Dan... it ain't about Pitt... it's about the Pats' defense. Pats' offense can get by anybody any given night but their defense is certainly subject on the line and in shallow secondary... even the secondary and deep support tackling is doubtful at times. Not from a technical individual basis but on a coordinated basis. They just don't have the combination of braun and speed to back up containment in shallow or deep when they give up a reception... or run. And, there will be receptions and runs, allowed by weakness in the front four, which will happen at some point in the game. Fact is, ya can't go back to the days of Brusci and... I'll stop there. Now... will the GOT play? He is on injured reserve. And, he is Vinny ten times over. That may actually decide the game. Kick ball, get cheque! |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 14 Nov 10 - 04:55 PM TB said it... fire yerself Jerry... best football move you could ever make. |

Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Jack the Sailor Date: 14 Nov 10 - 12:43 PM Jerry Jones is on Fox blaming Johnson and Parcells leaving on his not being able to talk them into staying. Johnson does not seem to agree. LOL LOL LOL |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: olddude Date: 14 Nov 10 - 11:03 AM No way Tommy will beat my Steelers. They gotta defense that is jaw dropping. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Jack the Sailor Date: 14 Nov 10 - 10:59 AM Jason Garrett as Boys' Head Coach The offense has been the problem while he has been the coordinator. Jerry had to make a move to give fans hope so that big stadium won't look empty for the home games. |

Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 09 Nov 10 - 06:00 PM I don't love it when passes are thrown into the dirt when there is no explanation why. Or when a fair catch is called and the caller doesn't even attempt to catch it. When I see such, play after play, I wonder if the betting pools are part of the coaching staff. Now, I know that sounds like sour grapes, but, PLAY AFTER PLAY? And, calling a run up the middle on first down late in the "score" when a blitz is showing and you have just made incursions into the secondary that exposed a weakness? FFFFF*****ck ME! Sorry for the rant... just be glad you were not here during the game. I get pretty loud when I see that shit. Even worse than when I see Kevin Martin choke on a brash call in the tenth end. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: J-boy Date: 09 Nov 10 - 04:58 PM The pats played poorly and they know it. But,any given sunday as the saying goes. That's why we love this game. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: olddude Date: 09 Nov 10 - 02:48 PM My Steeler pulled it out last night, but wow, that was close. And what the heck is Cleveland doing beating the Pats? Wow .... |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Jack the Sailor Date: 08 Nov 10 - 08:56 PM And the players blame themselves. Which is fair. They certainly could have worked harder. But really its all Jerry's fault. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Bobert Date: 08 Nov 10 - 08:14 PM Jerry Jones fired Wade Phillps today... (yawn) |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Jack the Sailor Date: 08 Nov 10 - 11:30 AM No. I think Jerry will be there until medical science has to freeze his worn out body leaving the possibility of his torturing distant generations of Dallas fans. But if a team wants Roy Williams.... |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Dave MacKenzie Date: 08 Nov 10 - 10:36 AM "I think the Boys will be cleaning out the older items in the attic." Does that include Jerry Jones? Kitna (who's younger than Brett Favre is probably one of the better players on the team. And what's happening in Oakland? Has Al Davies died and nonody's noticed? |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 07 Nov 10 - 02:37 PM Did you see that deke by Cleveland? WOW! That is gonna be the highlight of the week. I LIKE IT! |

Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Jack the Sailor Date: 02 Nov 10 - 04:56 PM I don't see the Pats looking. But I think the Boys will be cleaning out the older items in the attic. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 02 Nov 10 - 04:50 PM Really? Can't see it, but anything is possible. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Jack the Sailor Date: 02 Nov 10 - 04:31 PM I don't think the Pats are worse off without him. Maybe the Cowboys will trade them Roy Williams. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 02 Nov 10 - 04:14 PM But... they would be spening a whack of coin on a player that cannot help them NOW and obviously wants to be on a "winning" team toward the end of his carrer... if not, why is he "free"? I say he is going back to the Pats... well.... I can dream. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Jack the Sailor Date: 02 Nov 10 - 03:57 PM Washington might be a possibility. Or some other team without a number of good long threats. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 02 Nov 10 - 03:55 PM I hear ya JtS. So, will Moss go the full 24 and go Belly UP? Or will one of the other teams who want a shot at The Belly cough up the coin to keep it from happening? |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: Jack the Sailor Date: 02 Nov 10 - 03:10 PM The Cowboys have more than enough talent at receiver. Austin, Whitten (TE), Roy Williams this year, the new kid Dez Bryant. They need Moss and his attitude like they need Rosie O'Donnell as a cheer leader. If a couple of premier offensive linemen come up for grabs that might be a different story. But then why bother? With six losses they have almost no chance of making the playoffs even if they win all of their remaining games. Cowboys would be better off shooting for the bottom, trading for picks and picking up a top 5 draft pick from their finish in the standings. |
Subject: RE: BS: NFL 2010 (US football) From: gnu Date: 02 Nov 10 - 02:03 PM Nobody is making a move on Moss... I figured the Rams would have made a move by now IF they were gonna. I doubt if the other four will but ya never know. As for Dallas, well I don't think they have enough confidence in their replacement QBs to bother with ANOTHER great receiver. It's possible he will end up ??? I won't say it again. And, I just read Merriman might be released today. Whole lotta shakin goin on. |
