Subject: RE: BS: Give your wife flowers for Fathers Day From: meself Date: 15 Jun 08 - 12:45 PM Do you 'do' Mother's Day? It is, of course, vital that we get all the facts ... |

Subject: RE: BS: Give your wife flowers for Fathers Day From: GUEST,Chief Chaos Date: 14 Jun 08 - 05:24 PM Oh Hell No! Bad enough that every holiday is supposed to be celebrated with Diamonds for her (according to the jewelers). I've never seen the "gift" for him on any anniversary/Mother's Day/whatever commercial. There's also some nonsense about presenting her with a "birthing gift" when each child is born. The preferred gift? Diamonds! A male chauvenist co-worker once told me that wives are nothing but extremely expensive hookers. Someone seems to be trying to prove it. I love my wife, I really do, and she was thanked good and proper on mother's day, Valentines, and our anniversary. I don't think I'm going to thank her for making me a father today (wish I could tell the stork to take 'em back sometimes! ;) ) |

Subject: RE: BS: Give your wife flowers for Fathers Day From: meself Date: 14 Jun 08 - 03:09 PM On second thought, given the circumstances, it might be wiser to have your lawyer send her lawyer some flowers for Father's Day ... (it's the though that counts) ... |

Subject: RE: BS: Give your wife flowers for Fathers Day From: meself Date: 14 Jun 08 - 03:00 PM Don't you think it would be a lovely idea to have your lawyer send her some flowers for Father's Day? |

Subject: RE: BS: Give your wife flowers for Fathers Day From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 13 Jun 08 - 06:22 PM Father's Day - a commercially made-up nonsense. At least Mother's Day has some kind of traditional basis, albeit pretty tenuous. |

Subject: BS: Give your wife flowers for Fathers Day From: Wesley S Date: 13 Jun 08 - 01:15 PM Yes - Give your wife flowers for Fathers Day. If it wasn't for her you wouldn't be a dad anyway. And tell her that if you had it to all over again - that you'd do it all over again. It's an inexpensive way to show your appreciation. For that matter - if your mother is still alive you should send her some flowers on your birthday. You wouldn't be here if it wasn't for her. At least - that's my opinion. As they say - your milage may vary. |
