Chopped into quarters and doused in Olive Oil, with paprika, chopped and diced green peppers, with a few capers, a dash of salt and pepper, then 'bunged' in the oven in an earthenware dish. Sizzling Bunny. As for the Sidders Cricket club, it does have wonderful views over Lyme Bay. John Barden |

Subject: RE: BS: cricket club at Sidders From: catspaw49 Date: 29 Jun 09 - 10:25 AM Well it is a part of our history here in the States where, as you can see, running rabbits is a time honored pasttime practiced by only the upper classes as you can see. I will forego any pictures of the other endeavor......................... Spaw |

Subject: RE: BS: cricket club at Sidders From: Rasener Date: 29 Jun 09 - 03:16 AM Shouldn't this be up above. I would have thought a better response would have been obtained if the title was changed a bit. e.g. Sidmouth Folk Week - Camping Most people switch off if they see topics on cricket. Although I don't know why. |

Subject: RE: BS: cricket club at Sidders From: MBSLynne Date: 29 Jun 09 - 03:11 AM I was reading this with..er..interest but no intention of joining in, but the image of hulking great rugbies mating was just too much for me!! Love Lynne |

Subject: RE: BS: cricket club at Sidders From: John J Date: 28 Jun 09 - 05:57 PM You could try the golf club temporary camp site at the top of the hill (past the observatory). It cost us £7 - £8 a night for car, caravan and two adults last year. Although it's a bit far to walk, there's a festival bus that runs until WELL past midnight. It's certainly my site of preference and I hope to be there again this year. John |

Subject: RE: BS: cricket club at Sidders From: catspaw49 Date: 26 Jun 09 - 01:53 PM Why not bounce YOUR balls off some concrete? Spaw |
|
Subject: RE: BS: cricket club at Sidders From: Rapparee Date: 26 Jun 09 - 01:50 PM Don't drop your jacks so hard and they won't sink. But the ball WILL bounce off a wooden pad better than dirt. |
|
Subject: RE: BS: cricket club at Sidders From: Phot Date: 26 Jun 09 - 12:36 PM Take a couple of wooden pads, about six inches square to stop your jacks sinking into the ground. Wassail!! Chris |
