Subject: RE: A very important topic From: Donuel Date: 02 Apr 11 - 07:27 PM Capital Foods is a wholesale operation that features delivery of frozen meat seafood and chicken by contractors with a guranteed replacment policy in the event of power outage. After a $1,700 purchase we had a 6 day power outage in January. They would not replace a single item. The repl;acment policy does not extend to end consumers. Pepco Electric claimed it was God's fault and they will not help with any losses of life or property as a result of the snow storm. As we all know electricity does not work in the snow anyway.? I found a frozen food item in safeway that was pressure pringted (no ink) with an expiration date over a year old, The manager paid me back but said Safeway is not respondsible for past date food that may be dangerous, the food was from an outside contractor that rents the freezer shelf space. The outside contractors are not respondsible since the food is in the possesion of Safeway. We further discovered that... Only the end consumer is respondsible for medical costs or funeral costs as a result of dangerous food. |

Subject: RE: A very important topic From: Dorothy Parshall Date: 01 Apr 11 - 05:25 PM On 1 April, 1963, I was horrified that my child, already three days late, would be born on April Fool's Day and be teased for it all through school. However, this son, who had been difficult throughout, continued to be so after birth. I told the little guy, quite early, "If anyone teases you about being born on April Fool's Day, you just say - YES! I was. Mother was the fool!" I have heard him use that good line! He is still difficult and a good guy and I'm still -- "MooooTHER!" |

Subject: RE: A very important topic From: AllisonA(Animaterra) Date: 01 Apr 11 - 04:20 PM My darling daughter, who is now 7 weeks away from graduating from college with honors, sent this email today to me, her stepdad, her father, and her stepmother (some names and details to protect, oh, whoever might need protecting): I want to let you guys in on some of the things I've been thinking about lately, pertaining to my future. Some of you may be aware that the last couple of years at H****** have been difficult for me, with regards to motivating myself and getting myself interested in my studies. I've been doing a lot of soul searching lately about what is right for me and have spoken with several "wise counselors" (my therapist, the dean of Spiritual Life at H******, etc.). I've concluded that college just isn't right for me, and I need to embark on a more independent, less structured life path that allows me to engage with the world in a way that just isn't possible for me at H******. I understand that this may come as a shock to you, since I haven't really mentioned this at all, and I understand if you react with confusion or anger, but I can't keep denying who I am. I've decided to drop out of H******, effective May 21, 2011* *which happens to be the date of graduation this year... After 1/16th of a second of panic, I sent her a Raspberry reply :-P |
