Tom Russell and Andrew played to about 100 people here in Toledo, Oregon and they were absolutley wonderful.....His story songs are so vivid you can see the whole thing in living color in your mind.......A truly "great songwirter' and Andrew Hardin is right up there with the best in acoustic guitar acompaniement.....Don't miss them if you ever get the chane to see them....Again   "WOW" ! !

Frank,

Sure do wish I could put a recording bug in your place for Tom's concert. Either that or be a fly on the wall----another kind o' bug.

Thanks Frank! I found the same number and called, and for everyone's information, the show starts at the above listed address, 8pm, tickets are $12 before and $15 at the door. It's probably a bit early yet to yee-haw, but, well...yee-haw.

Wow, what timing. I have to be in Portland Friday night, and was whining about nuthin' to do.... Francy is right, Tom Russell is one of the best. We've had several Mudcat discussions about 'Sky Above Mud Below' and even after picking it to pieces, it still brings the hair up on the back of my neck every time I hear it. Now to find out where the hail St Gabriel's is....

Thanks Frank,
We were going tonight to see him at Timberline Lodge but I have to be at home working with my mudder. That's not my mother, it's the guy who is papering and mudding the drywall. This room add on is almost done and then its back to a normal life.
Your venue in Toledo OR has to be one of the best.
Thanks for the reminder and folks, I'm here to tell you , Franks comments about Tom Russell is right on the money, He is today's conscience music writer of folk and western cowboy music.

Foer those of you familiar with Tom Russell, be sure to see him at one of theses three locations in Oregon....Wednesday Oct 23rd Timberline Lodge.....Thursday Oct. 24th Toledo, Oregon...and Friday Oct 25th in Portland at St. Gabriels 17435 NW West Union Rd/////
For those of you new to his name....he is, in my opinion one of the finest songwriters of folk-western ballads in music today.....Andrew Hardin is an acoustic guitar player who is right up there with the best.....Do yourselves a favor and catch this great folk-western duo while they're here in Oregon....Any more info needed e mail me a francyfolk@charter.net or call me at 1-541-336-5743.......
