Subject: RE: Christy Moore Uncovered DVD From: s6k Date: 08 Apr 04 - 11:00 AM on the dvd, i figured out ride on almost perfectly now. It is as said in other tabs, with Cm / Ab / Bb which can be achieved with a barre chords, or with a capo at the 3rd fret. But, for the first time, i figured out the true intro riff. Other tabs will tell you that it is a slide from open E string to 5th fret, and others still will tell you that its a slde from the 5th fret on the D string to the 10th. Well, its actually a slide from the 3rd fret of the E string to the 8th. It is the same key as the 5 - 10 slide, but an octave lower so it does actually work a hell of a lot better when playing over the song. I will put this tab on my website, once it is up and running My Website for now i havent had chance to set up the guitar section, but it will be coming soon. i will let you know when its finished |

Subject: RE: Christy Moore Uncovered DVD From: s6k Date: 08 Apr 04 - 09:44 AM just .... well not watched it but looked at a few tracks. great dvd! before each song Christy comes on to actually talk about how he wrote it, how he discovered it, or about other aspects of his life, such as how he got a guitar, etc. gives some good insight into certain songs such as Lisdoonvarna, and Ride On. cant reccommend the dvd enough, 3 bonus tracks that arent on the video too, including Biko Drum! Buy ! |

Subject: Christy Moore Uncovered DVD From: s6k Date: 05 Apr 04 - 10:02 AM I found this on the website, extremely hard to find. I am going to buy it but wondered if any of you lovely people owned it?? and if so what is it like? It would have been so great with 2 discs, or even more tracks, such as El Salvador, etc, but it has Ride On so i simply cannot resist. This website also has other hard to find folk items, try looking up your favourite artist in the catalogue, surname first. i didnt know Christy even had a dvd until i stumbled upon this site! Anyway here is the link, postage is included in the price! Christy Moore DVD Also have a look around the site. some things are quite expensive, but they have got rare stuff too. Site Home |
