Subject: RE: BS: Bush the War Hero From: Arne Date: 04 Feb 06 - 11:53 PM SBV: Yes, it is difficult for the President to talk about those last 18 months of his service but I will. He was assigned to a highly secret Special Forces unit in Vietnam to fly a captured MIG fighter into Hanoi, make his way to a hospital where I was being held captive, kill several North Vietnames regulars who were guarding me, carry me on his own back 2 miles back to the airfeild and fly my to safety, landing on an aircraft a carrier somewhere off the shores of South Vietnam. You forgot to mention that it was uphill both going there and coming back. CRedit where credit is due..... Cheers, |

Subject: RE: BS: Bush the War Hero From: GUEST Date: 04 Feb 06 - 09:27 PM I too was rescued from the Hanoi Hilton by George Bush. I owe him my life. But then, I am a chronic liar. Learned it from George on the flight back to the carrier in the South China Sea. |

Subject: RE: BS: Bush the War Hero From: Rapparee Date: 04 Feb 06 - 09:21 PM I believe every word of this because President Bush is a rather self-effacing sort. I would have thought that George H. Bush was a bit old by the early 1970s for such an assignment, but hey! the man made parachute jumps when he was in his 80s! |

Subject: RE: BS: Bush the War Hero From: Ebbie Date: 04 Feb 06 - 09:05 PM I'm glad to hear the real truth finally. I can tell by just looking at you that you speak truth. I would not dream of insulting you by suggesting any need for verification. (Nicely done, by the way) |

Subject: BS: Bush the War Hero From: GUEST,Swift Boat Vet Date: 04 Feb 06 - 08:50 PM Well, my buds and I have had just about enough of you Mudcat crybaby liberals bashing President Bush and so I'm here to set the record straight. Yes, it is difficult for the President to talk about those last 18 months of his service but I will. I cannot give my name here because of the classified nature of the mission and because of national security issues but you can take it to the bank that this occured. So, for all you Kerry crybabies, have a little respect for the real hero, George W. Bush. Swift Boat Veteran for Truth |
