Poor Clinton...flailing around, hoping against hope that someone will be offended enough to still care. ;-)

You wish.

Once again, you show just how far off the mark your perceptions are....

Wanna buy another 3 swings?

Another three swings of what exactly?

Look, I'll buy if you play "It's Allright, Ma" all the way through and do a really good job on it. But I'll only buy one (drink) for you.

I wouldn't doubt that my perceptions of others on the Net are frequently off the mark, and I think that's something you and I probably share in common. ;-) Neither one of us is omniscient.

"I'll buy if you play "It's Allright, Ma"

(I'm only Bleeding)?? That one? That might be my least fav Dylan song of all time....

How about "I'll tell me ma" instead - good compromise?

I want to know what Nurse Ratched is going to do next. . .

Turning her impressive gaze in the direction of the churlish youngish-middle-agish-man in chain mail, leaning on a custom guitar performance stool, she took a step toward him, enema rod in one hand, syringe in the other. . .

Looks like you've got it under control to me ...

... control ...

Impressed by her gaze, and wondering what it was that was in his direction that she was looking at, he moved around behind the back of the guitar performance stool and pulled his chain mail down over his bottom.

Thank god he had found the chain mail in the nick of time. His previous idiom of camouflaged jean claude van-damme-esque jungle warrior simply was not well enough clothed to handle this ... vision of ... erm ... loveliness?

The Iron codpiece was unfortunately a few sizes too small and sank loosely and inneffectively from his waist like a rowing boat full of uncomfortable hippos.

He drew his trusty portrait and waited for the inevitable onslaught.

That's interesting, Clinton, because it's probably (or at least debatably) the most brilliant song Dylan wrote in his entire life. The lyrics in that song are simply incredible, specially considering his age at the time. It's the ultimate social comment song.

The Mudcat is under fire !!

Wouldn't the appropriate song by Bod Dylan at this time be "A Hard Rains Gonna Fall'

"And what did you hear, my darling young one?
I heard the sound of a thunder, it roared out a warnin',
Heard the roar of a wave that could drown the whole world,
Heard one hundred drummers whose hands were a-blazin',
Heard ten thousand whisperin' and nobody listenin',
Heard one person starve, I heard many people laughin',
Heard the song of a poet who died in the gutter,
Heard the sound of a clown who cried in the alley,
And it's a hard, and it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard,
And it's a hard rain's a-gonna fall."

It would be appropriate if "SPAM" was substituted for "RAIN."

Hi fellow Mudcatters

I usually stay away from this type of thread but I feel that I must comment on the above,

I think Mudcat is a tremendous asset to the Tradition. I visit almost every day and I learn lots, I get lyrics, airs and tunes, background information, valuable insights into the history of songs, singing and singers etc. etc. Its priceless and its free.

I have made good friends here and I have had some memorable laughs.

I want to thank Max and the Clones and all the people involved for the trojan unpaid work they do to keep this valuable resource going, despite the constant attacks it comes under from both without and within.

Thanks you for Mudcat warts and all.

Fergus Russell
