Bruce, I hope you do a great set and you get the recognition, which you should have got years ago. Your unique voice alone should set you apart, but now you have some great new songs. I am sure that will add new energy to your set as well. Let us all know how it goes.

Brucie, hordes of screaming fans will be waiting at your original destination. Always use the service entrance.
PS what colour socks do you wear?. A nation awaits.........

They coulda meant Franklin, NH, Franklin, VT, Franklin, ME, Franklin, MA or Franklin, CT.

There. That pretty much takes care of New England. There doesn't appear to be a Franklin in Rhode Island, but they may have an agreement to share Massachusetts's's. Some of these places don't have airports, but you can probably find someone who'll 'check you for weapons' for a small fee.

Trust me on this, okay?

if the possessive of Massachusetts is Massachusetts's's (as above),
what's the possessive of Illinois?

In case you didn't know it, the s in Illinois is silent.

Is there anywhere on the web where I can hear a sample of Bruce's music?

The plural of Illinois...there is no such thing. Illinois is all there is and all there ever can be. If you doubt this, ask my brothers who live there.

As for the possessive, it's "mine, all mine."

leeneia:

Go to: http://ezfolk.com/audio/bands/1338/ and you will find a sample of Bruce.

While this extended discourse on all things "Franklin" suggests that some of us have way too much time on our hands, I can't resist...so,

Florida does not appear to have a municipality, town, or city named "Franklin" but there is "Franklin County" in the northwestern panhandle of the State and it has a charming little town named Apalachicola, right on the Gulf.

But Bruce, my recommendation is that you save that trip for the next time you get booked for an early January concert in Montreal and the weather approaches "brass monkey" territory.

Ken

I have a $65 dollar idea. Wouldn't it be a blast to arrange 'concerts'/performances in every town or city named Franklin? Call it "The Franklin Adventure and Map Reading Tour". Probably get sh#t from the people who own the copyright on the turtle--but we could tell them it will be a very FAST tour and we wouldn't seem to be infringing their copyright or whatever it's called.

There'll be a sign in every Franklin that says "Ben there, and he's already done that!"

Some of those fans will be asking and wondering about your socks, others about your hose (Part of the firefighter mystique, I guess), but you never ask THEM about their stalkin's.

I never told you in private because I know how modest you are, but you absolutely blew me away when you were fighting that battle recently--the War of 2007/8 is how I think of it--and you'd respond with puns/witicisms. THAT was a display of couraghe I will always remember and always cherish. FYI.

Reminds me of a fellow in Merry Olde Englande who was making up puns about the then-Queen. She informed him that if he ever told another pun in his life he would be hanged by the neck. He asked if he was receiving a pardon for his errant ways. The queen said, "A temporary pardon." He replied

"No noose is good noose!"

If you can find it. No never mine, I'll refresh it so you will see it as soon as I sent this. On this site I list the mudcat members that will be here this year. Not as many as last year but a good representation for this year's first Apple Hollow.
