Subject: Guy Wolff's new CD is a WINNER! From: Sandy Paton Date: 13 Aug 99 - 10:30 PM Hey, Y'all: Mudcatter Guy Wolff has just sent me a copy of his new, self-produced CD and it's absolutely terrific! With some great instrumentation (guitar, banjo, slide guitar, bass drum!!!, etc.) he takes us through a program of strong traditional material, blues to banjo songs, sung with wonderful abandon and verve. Somehow, Guy manages to remain true to himself while he is also being true to his sources. A rare feat, worthy of our support. Check it out, folks. I know you're gonna love it as much as I do. Get one for your radio show, Rick, so all the 'Catters can hear a sample of it. Sandy (the folk fogey) |

Subject: RE: Guy Wolff's new CD is a WINNER! From: Rick Fielding Date: 17 Aug 99 - 01:21 AM Guy, I'm too lazy to do computer things right now. Just send it to 1235 Kingston Rd. Toronto Ontario. Canada. M1N-1P4 By the way folks. Sorry CIUT temporarily shut down their "on line" radio thing. I felt so bloody lonely tonight, knowing that only Ontario people were listening. They're trying to deal with the problems at the station however (serious debt) and I think things are gonna get much better. Twas a good show though. Ragtime finger picker Mike Kaye and I picked for a solid hour and were joined on bass by Mudcatter Jeremiah McCaw. Rick |
