Subject: RE: BS: Women's nightgowns From: Bobert Date: 28 Jan 12 - 07:44 AM Whew... I'm glad to read that Kendall doesn't wear a woman's nightgown to bed... That is reassuring... I mean, when I found out he'd had to give up his harpoon I gotta admit that ol' hillbilly was a tad on the concerned side... But to think of him wiggling into a cotton LL Bean ladies nightgown with little pink bunnies on it would have shoved me over the line... As for ladies wearin' 'um??? Who cares??? What goes on can come right back off... Get my drift??? B;~) |
Subject: RE: BS: Women's nightgowns From: kendall Date: 28 Jan 12 - 08:19 AM The question was why do women wear clothes to bed. |
Subject: RE: BS: Women's nightgowns From: John MacKenzie Date: 28 Jan 12 - 08:27 AM Containment? |
Subject: RE: BS: Women's nightgowns From: Bobert Date: 28 Jan 12 - 09:39 AM The question was ambiguous, Capt'n since you went right from women's nightgowns to you not like wearing anything... Me thinks Dr. Freud might need to weigh in on this one... B;~) |
Subject: RE: BS: Women's nightgowns From: kendall Date: 28 Jan 12 - 09:40 AM Sounded simple enough to me. |
Subject: RE: BS: Women's nightgowns From: Bobert Date: 28 Jan 12 - 10:12 AM Jus' funnin' wid ya', Capt'n... Ya' see, as per usual, I am waiting for the P-Vine to finish up all them women stuff so we can get on with the day and so what's an ol' hillbilly to do??? a. Get out the vacuum cleaner and vacuum??? b. Scrub da' kitchen floor??? c. Pester my ol' buddy at Mudcat??? Answer: c B;~) |
Subject: RE: BS: Women's nightgowns From: Bobert Date: 28 Jan 12 - 10:15 AM BTW, cotton nightgowns are all but impossible to find in the department stores so the P-Vine, who won't wear anything else, has to order them from various places... BTW, part 2... Sleeping al' natural is good... Ladies??? How about it??? No skin, no win... B:~) |
Subject: RE: BS: Women's nightgowns From: katlaughing Date: 28 Jan 12 - 10:48 AM I loved nightgowns when I was little, esp. the flannel one my grandma made me, but as I got older and more "experienced" I went to nothing, unless I was wooing somebody, then it was provocative and usually came off. For years after Rog and I married (32 years ago) I wore nothing until menopause. I had a friend who said she started wearing p.j.s when she went through it because of night-sweats. She figured it was easier to wash soaked nighties than a whole set of sheets every day. So, I started wearing long t-shirts; still do, only now it's mostly for comfort and to keep the lotion and Tiger Balm on me, not the sheets.:-) Oh, and Bobert, I know what you mean about finding all-cotton stuff. I've found some in stores, but it is a cheap cotton, treated with some kind of chemicals that even a vinegar soak won't remove, so becomes itchy and I wind up taking it back. If P-Vine wouldn't mind sharing some sources via you by PM or whatever, I'd be grateful. What's "Moby?" Maybe "mo' bee" (i.e."sting") in his Dick?:-) |

Subject: RE: BS: Women's nightgowns From: ChanteyLass Date: 28 Jan 12 - 03:30 PM I can speak only for myself. Why do I wear PJs to bed (or at this time of year, a sweatsuit and in summer lightweight cotton pj pants and a t-shirt? Because without them I would feel naked! |
Subject: RE: BS: Women's nightgowns From: GUEST,Lizzie Cornish Date: 28 Jan 12 - 03:46 PM Better to be wrapped up if your alone... Better to be unwrapped, slowly, if you're not... Nighties win either way, and you won't EVER catch me getting into bed without my down to the floor, lace/embroidery-trimmed nightie, maybe with a dash of Chanel No 5, on both nightie and skin... |
Subject: RE: BS: Women's nightgowns From: John MacKenzie Date: 28 Jan 12 - 03:50 PM Hello Lizzie, where have you been, I missed you. |
Subject: RE: BS: Women's nightgowns From: GUEST,Lizzie Cornish Date: 28 Jan 12 - 03:53 PM I got trapped, in my nightie, John. ;0) xxx |
Subject: RE: BS: Women's nightgowns From: GUEST,Lizzie Cornish Date: 28 Jan 12 - 04:17 PM Once, I had the most beautiful nightie! It kinda plunged down to there, and draped itself on the floor..It was green, shaded as it went down, getting darker, the lower you went (Ooh! Matron!) It was heavy and the material was soft and sexy, hanging voluptiously from my Snork Maiden shaped body...... I felt soooooo sexy in it. Just a shame I didn't have a boyfriend at the time, but then, I'd not have been in bed with him anyway, for I was a very Good Girl. But heck, I appreciated my nightie, even if no-one else did! LOL |
Subject: RE: BS: Women's nightgowns From: John MacKenzie Date: 28 Jan 12 - 04:22 PM So sad, and I wish I'd been there. Just to lend you a shoulder to cry on, of course. |
Subject: RE: BS: Women's nightgowns From: GUEST,Lizzie Cornish Date: 28 Jan 12 - 04:28 PM ;0) ONLY if you'd had your PJs on, John...although your full length nightgown sounds rather sexy, if you don't me saying.. :0) |

Subject: RE: BS: Women's nightgowns From: GUEST,Lizzie Cornish Date: 28 Jan 12 - 04:38 PM So, he tells her he LOVEs her nightdress, then she gets into bed, and he pulls up the duvet ..and.... |
Subject: RE: BS: Women's nightgowns From: frogprince Date: 28 Jan 12 - 10:21 PM Love that, Liz; it's not the most convincing photoshopping, though; the rumples in the sheets don't affect the nekkid images. But I would think a few people would buy sheets like that for fun if someone made them up. My roommate rarely has anything on at bedtime, but when she does it's usually a long nightshirt. I loves to catch her before she lies down, and do pullups. |
Subject: RE: BS: Women's nightgowns From: gnu Date: 28 Jan 12 - 10:34 PM The thread starts out as a simple question and ends up in lewd innuendos and sex jokes. I like this crowd. |
Subject: RE: BS: Women's nightgowns From: JennieG Date: 28 Jan 12 - 10:54 PM Did you expect any different? I make my own nightwear because much of what is available ready-made is pink.....and I look horrible in pink.....so my nighties and jammies are lots of different colours. But no pink. And I wear something between me and the air because we have a cat who comes roaming into the bedroom. Ever had a kitty claw touch you on a sensitive part? Cheers JennieG |

Subject: RE: BS: Women's nightgowns From: JennieG Date: 29 Jan 12 - 09:34 PM Under the sheets, out of the sheets, or aflame......pink is not my colour. Lime green, on the other hand, or orange, or turquoise are. Oh Sir Roger do not touch me....... As she lay between the lily white sheets with nothing on at all. Anyone sing that, these days? Cheers JennieG |
Subject: RE: BS: Women's nightgowns From: gnu Date: 29 Jan 12 - 10:01 PM Lime green? Oh, be still my beating heart! >;-) |
Subject: RE: BS: Women's nightgowns From: GUEST,Eliza Date: 30 Jan 12 - 06:43 AM Yes, jennie, but we used to sing "Oh Sir Jasper..." and at Guides, which is a bit non-PC nowadays eh? |
Subject: RE: BS: Women's nightgowns From: GUEST,Patsy Date: 30 Jan 12 - 08:09 AM The reason that I wear snug pajamas or trackie bottoms and t shirt is because if I wake up in the middle of the night I don't get any cold spots like shoulders or arms and it is easier to get back off to sleep. Also I prefer pajama trousers completely covering my legs as I tend to get attacks of cramp if the cold get into my calves or feet. If my legs are uncovered I seem to be more prone to cramp. Nighties are not much help because the legs still get chilled. There is nothing worse than hopping around the room naked and screaming in the early hours. |

Subject: RE: BS: Women's nightgowns From: GUEST,Manuel Date: 31 Jan 12 - 01:05 PM Obviously, Eliza, her sleepwear tastes differed substantially from those of a female newspaper vendor of this city who made the news herself when the police, conducting a pre-dawn search on her premises, found her (no doubt to their delight)bottomless (as contrasted with topless). |
Subject: RE: BS: Women's nightgowns From: GUEST,Eliza Date: 01 Feb 12 - 11:56 AM Very practical of her, Manuel. Ready for anything, but warm up top! Were the Police searching for her pyjama bottoms? |
