I seem to recall that I got this info here, how to get your name if you were in various of these professions, but I can't find it either here or on the Internet so help! I seem to remember that there were Star Wars and Star Trek names too, with your middle name spelled backwards or something? Thanks, all.

Google has 345,000 results for name generators.

We've had blues, pirate, stripper, porn, and probably other name generator threads.

A lot of the name generator engines turn out to be phishing or spam-botting stuff though, so be sure your firewall is ready to play, too.

Mothers maiden name + name of first pet is one of the many ways to generate them:

eg Hazell Dasher in my case

Like the blues singers one

Infirmity + fruit + president

eg One-Eyed Pineapple Clinton (a piano player I would think)

Going by Poppagator's parameters, I'd be Tramp Riverview, or since our dog was male and named after the movie, maybe I could be Lady Riverview!

You want to be careful posting your mother's maiden name etc. online. Chances are it won't be noticed on Mudcat, but that is one big risk of identity theft, knowing someone's mother's maiden name.

I think "Pansy Rue" was one of the more memorable, BUT it wasn't from a generator. It's what WyoWoman said her mom wanted to name her!

Cyrus Woolton. Hmmm. I like it.
My first pet (after the Duck who was just called "Duck") was supposed to be named for Sirius -- he being a dog and all. But I probably pronounced it funny because I had barely learned to read. My mother failed to see the connection with the dog star. To be fair he never achieved stardom in any way shape or form. Cyrus was a pretty unusual name for a dog anyway -- and I like that. Also he answered to Cyrus so I guess that was his real name. It doesn't do to confuse a puppy.
