While reading my morning ,paper I saw there was a new definition of "old age": the age at which one can no longer hop....
After watching me hop round the breakfast table, first on one leg then on the other, She who must be Obeyed felt that was clear proof of premature senility!

What about skipping? I can still skip (and sometimes do). And I mean with my feet. I can also still skip boring projects, skip stones, skip ahead in the story, and skip out.

I tied to hop on my right foot a few days ago when I hurt my left foot & managed a few very, very short & unbalanced hops, but I had to put my foot down to progress!!

Maybe if I'd hurt my right foot I could have made it one-footed to the first aid stuff in the bathroom ...

or maybe not ...

I like that definition! I can hop on either foot, I can run..(well..not Marathons, but maybe a block..), I can jump over walls up to about 3 feet high, I can still get into lotus posture and I can climb ladders and clean gutters! (3 days ago!)

I just turned 69....
sadly, I am not allowed to stand on my head any more...though I 'could'. Got this pinched nerve in the neck.

There should be a number of hops specified in the old-age test. I mean, it's a lot easier to lift one foot off the ground and then make ONE quick little hop than it is to bounce up and down on one foot for multiple repetitions.

I can hop once or twice, maybe a half-dozen or so times, but wouldn't want to go much longer. I think I'd be able to quit, nd would quit, before I'd lose my balance completely and fall on my face.

I got me one of them there lamps that turns on or off when you snap your fingers.

Had to get rid of it.

Every time I'd stand up the crackin' and poppin' in all the joints made the light go out.
