It is interesting to see her altered appearance since she returned to Alaska. I guess your own personal makeup artist and hairdresser do make a difference.

Remember how scrubbed and polished and shiny she looked during the campaign? These days in contrast she looks positively unkempt. Current videos show it better but here is one photo: Here

When she goes to visit Karl Rove in jail (for contempt of Congress) she will establish the new Republican Party as a martyr to the Democrat despots. I expect to see limbaugh lead the 'free Karl' demonstrations in DC.

Karl is trying to prove that he has a lifetime pre emptive pardon for everything and anything since Bush declared such 4 days prior to Inauguration day for both Karl and Harriet Myers.

Executive priviledge is supposed to only apply to an active President's advisors.

I still find it hard to believe that the Republican party picked Reagan and Bush junior as leaders of the party - and half the people voting Republican were shaking their heads in disbelief at the time that those two were the best America could come up with.

And both those unlikely people got re-elected.

So I don't think you should underestimate her.

You have to wonder why the Republicans keep coming up with weirdoes. Nearly every other person you meet, who calls himself a Republican, seems more sensible than the people they elect as leaders.

                  Al - I think it has to do with raising money. Just like MoveOn.org was able to orchestrate huge campaign donations for Barak Obama and left wing Democrats, Republicans now have to rely on "faith based" organizations to raise cash. That, I think, is why you see so much media attention devoted to people like Sarah Palin and Mike Huckabee.

I think you have the answer, Al.

You have 100 voters. Nearly every other one is more sensible - ie 49 voters. This leaves 51 voters (ie a majority) who are less sensible than the people they elect as leaders and majorities tend to win out.

The problem with Palin is that there is a perception out there that she did not do this to herself, but the media did it to her. Therefore, there is a kneejerk reaction out there that will be ready to support her against all comers, who are perceived as persecutors.

You can't destroy good, and you can't destroy evil nor can you destroy any other concept of that sort...but...you most certainly can destroy people you don't like (such as Sarah Palin), animals, the natural environment, buildings, cities, an economy, even entire nations....

Not hardly. By the end of the campaign her own party leaders were shaking their heads and distancing themselves from her. I think she and McCain came out of right field at them and they didn't know what hit them, BUT they figured it out and only the very conservative, evangelicals of them would support her now. I don't think they'd even use her as a front because they obviously could not control her.

All you "liberals" should relax and forget the labels, right and left have good and bad in their philosophy and the good thing about Miss Sarah is her independence of spirit. That lady won't be ruled by no stinkin' system and she has the ability to carry people with her, to communicate her ideas and most importantly her self belief.

If we want real change, we need someone who can inspire all of the people to get out there and take government by throat, not send them to sleep with reams of dusty "Liberal" rhetoric.
