Hi ya'll here is a video of me (JT Oglesby) and Ron Bankley playing an impromptu set at the Kentucky Fried Music Festival. I was happy to have Ron with me on this. I had played earlier with my band (well my rock project) and backed up several other artists at the festival. In between scheduled sets the promoter came up and asked Ron to play a few songs while the next band set up. He and I got up and jammed a few songs together and also fried the monitor lol. I looked down and smoke was rolling out of the monitor like it was blazing on fire lol. I swear I can't take Ron anywhere lol jk. The song is one of Ron's called Trillilum. My fiance recorded it on hr camera so it is not the greatest of quality but considering what she was using it was really good. Wish more catters could make it to some of the events like these where I was there to. I am glad my brother Ron was there with me though. It was a rock fest (kinda jam band type thing) but I have been talking to the organizer and he is going to shoot for a more diverse line up next time.

Your welcome. I have some more just haven't uploaded them yet. They are at my fiance's on her computer and I havent had time becuase I have been so busy with gigs and all. When I have a chance I will upload them. I may even put the monitor catching fire even though there is no music it is still funny. I broke the neck off my strat earlier in the day when my band played. Luckily it as the last song I did a rocked out version of Reubens Train and the neck come off in my hands at the very end of the last song lol. Everytime I hit the stage that day something broke or caught fire or something lol. I will let you know when I add more. Glad you liked it.

LOL I need to play it Chaos gets attention lol. It was a really fun gig. There are some vids on youtube by me and my rock band. We only had one rehearsal before the gig and that was the first time I ever played a solo rock set. It douls have been better but I was happy considering we only practice for 2hrs and it was a first time. That song Trillium is going to be on the CD Ron and I did.

Thanks man. I have been so busy I haven't had a chance to get on MC for a while now. I am being lazy and getting caught up on threads today. Ron is an amazing musician and a great guy. I really cherish the time he and I got to spend when he was here recording and hanging out. Hopefully there will be alot more vids in the future of us performing together. Hopefully I will have some performance vids with a few others off MC soon. Kinda like we talked about (ah hum Peace) but i am not mentioning any names lol. Glad you liked it because I had a great time when it was filmed. I think it would be cool to see more vids from where mudcatters perform together. There is so much talent on here I would love to see more.

when the monitor caught fire, I asked if this was part of the show, I thought maybe it was a new variation on a fog machine, then JT thought maybe he flicked a smoke thru the speaker grill, we're just there watching this happen, trying to figure it out..., I think I said to JT.."where's Murdoch when you need him ?".... the tech boys sure scrambled after that.... and we hadn't even started... it was funny, the organizers were real happy that I played, wanted me to do a few more spots during the day, but I decided they coudn't afford to lose any more gear ! The hospitality was warm too, and the organizer's name was 'Fire'... no kidding... lots of great talent in Hopkins County... thanks JT for showing me around, I miss the place and won't be too long away....   ..R

Ron and Jayto, you two sound great together. You bounce well off each other and follow each other's leads. Loved it. Your new CD is gonna be a winner (and a surprise to me because certain people who will remain unnamed HAVEN'T SENT ME AN mp3).

LMAO I didn't even think about Fire lol. Yep Ron is not kidding ma and Fire go way back. The 2 guys that took control of our monitor fire were named Fire and Lynch not kidding. I didn't think about thier names until you mentioned it. That cracks me up. Lynch and I have played music together for a long time. Fire and I have hung out alot for yrs. He looks like a mini Rick Rubin. He plays in my cousin Alonzon Pennington's band (well one of his bands Alonzo is like me and has about 20 lol)but I think he and I have only jammed together a few times. Fire is playing on the vids of me jamming with the Rain Dogs on youtube but you can't see him he was off camera.

Glad everyone likes it we sure had fun doing it.

naw, we just play up and down the fretboard a lot in search of that one illusive perfect note that will say it all....
I know it's there somewhere,,,, I once hit it back in '73... but that could have something to do with the refreshments at the time...

thanx folks...
