Subject: RE: BS: Where is Spaw? From: Rapparee Date: 08 Jul 10 - 07:13 PM A Spawling or Spawette, perhaps? |
Subject: RE: BS: Where is Spaw? From: Lonesome EJ Date: 08 Jul 10 - 06:53 PM "Where is Spaw?" God, we worry about that boy don't we? And for good reason! I believe that Spaw's existence is essential to the Mudcat. Every tribe, group, club, needs a trickster, a joker, a loveable rascal who will cross the bounds of taste when nobody else will. In fact, it's so essential, that should anything ever (God forbid) happen to him, one of the other Mudcat regulars should be prepared to step into Pat's shoes and assume the mantle of Catspaw. In fact, even if he wants to take a break from this forum for a while, and you couldn't blame him, it would be great if someone could don the demeanor and get in the game. And Catspaw could go be a quiet unassuming guy who just wants to feed finches for a bit. Even Superman got to be Clark Kent from time to time. Bottom line is, Spaw, you need to take on an understudy, someone you can show the basic ropes of being the Spawser, someone to be the Robin to your Batman. They would have to possess some of the basic skill set that you have: Irrascibilty, liberalism, spunk, obnoxiousness, cleverness, obstinacy, genuineness, mechanical inclination, an unpredictable tender side, a sense of fairness, iconoclasticism(?), flatulence, profanity, and the ability to sing all of the songs from Oklahoma with lyrics about fellatio. Subject: RE: BS: Where is Spaw? From: JohnInKansas Date: 08 Jul 10 - 05:01 PM Quite frankly, I cannot recall ever disagreeing with anything Spaw has posted here, and in private (PM & email) conversations I've found him informative, courteous, responsive, helpful, and downright friendly. Now chew hard and digest that juxtaposition of descriptive ... (groping for another word??). John |
