Subject: BS: Surprise! (NOT!) Trump drops out From: Desert Dancer Date: 16 May 11 - 01:31 PM Trump Opts Out of Presidential Run Donald Trump has fired himself. The real estate mogul and reality television host is not going to run for president, he said Monday, ending months of over-the-top speculation that he might seek the 2012 Republican nomination. "After considerable deliberation and reflection, I have decided not to pursue the presidency," he said in a statement. "I maintain the strong conviction that if I were to run, I would be able to win the primary and ultimately, the general election," Mr. Trumps said, adding that "Ultimately, however, business is my greatest passion and I am not ready to leave the private sector." |

Especially embarrassing when it happens in front of the ladies of the office where I work, sod's law dictates that it will happen there. Even worse when it happens in the bosses presence. If my name was Trump, I'd change it by deed poll to Flatulate. |

Subject: RE: BS: Surprise! (NOT!) Trump drops out From: Bee-dubya-ell Date: 17 May 11 - 08:43 AM I'm so disappointed. I was looking forward to the Republican primaries so we could watch a few real politicians chew Mr. Trump a new asshole. |

Subject: RE: BS: Surprise! (NOT!) Trump drops out From: Ron Davies Date: 17 May 11 - 10:01 AM BWL has it right. Too bad we couldn't see a series of bloody and hugely expensive primaries on the GOP side--with the others wasting a huge amount of time and money destroying Trump. What you always want is a civil war in the other party. Look what Nader did for GWB. |
|
Subject: RE: BS: Surprise! (NOT!) Trump drops out From: Ron Davies Date: 17 May 11 - 10:04 AM Even better if the other party splits and a new party emerges. Again, see Nader. No wonder he got some conservative funding. |

Subject: RE: BS: Surprise! (NOT!) Trump drops out From: Bee-dubya-ell Date: 17 May 11 - 10:06 AM Now we can only hope Ms Palin will enter the festivities, thus giving Romney et al another easy target to sink their teeth into. Mitt probably practices saying "QUITTER!" several times a day just to be well-prepared in case the eventuality arises. |

Subject: RE: BS: Surprise! (NOT!) Trump drops out From: catspaw49 Date: 17 May 11 - 03:39 PM I was hoping he'd run. It may have been the ultimate wake up call for the populace........sorta' like the '59 Cadillac was for the automakers. All through the 50's cars became longer, lower, wider, with fins growing a bit each year as the design studios tried to outdo the other. So let me take you back to September, 1958, when the next models were introduced. I figure it happened this way................ We're out front gathered with all the execs, designers, engineers, and line bosses as we await the first 1959 Caddy to roll off the line. We see a massive chrome front end approach and as it rolls out the door we see it is indeed longer, lower, and wider, than anything we have ever seen! The equally monstrous size chrome rear is overshadowed by the tallest fins ever put on a car. As it comes to a stop in the middle of the circle of dignitaries, absolutely not a single sound is heard. Mouths hang open in true awe as we all stare at the first 1959 Caddy Convertible. Time passes slowly in silence until someone in the group voices the feelings of everyone present: "My God....What have we done?..........." Had Trump won the nomination I would have believed that even the most fucked up Teabagger would have felt the same. I'm probably wrong though so I guess I'm glad the dumbfuck dropped out. Spaw |

And he's one big mother cracker jackoff. Nothing but a spoiled bully with a silver spoon stuck up his ass and an ego bigger than his hair. Too bad for John, Jay, Dave, Jimmy, Craig, Bill... Bill Maher... now, that woulda been good. But, good for the world... he might have won... as we know ALL TOO WELL stranger things have happened. Unfortunately, they still might happen. BTW... did you catch John Stewart's take on Huckabee with Nugent and such last night... UNreal! What a bunch of hippocrAts. And that shit with Comcast buying a crongessperson... beyond reality. The right to bear arms should NEVER be infringed... youse Yanks are gonna hafta shoot these bastards sooner or later. |

Subject: RE: BS: Surprise! (NOT!) Trump drops out From: Bill D Date: 17 May 11 - 08:32 PM "Now we can only hope Ms Palin will enter the festivities..." Everyone doubts she will, but some think Michelle Bachmann might... Bill Maher says "Bachmann is for those who think Palin is too intellectual." |
|
Subject: RE: BS: Surprise! (NOT!) Trump drops out From: Ron Davies Date: 18 May 11 - 08:28 AM I hope "everyone" is right. Palin is a lot more dangerous than Bachmann. She has proven passionate supporters behind her. That's what primaries are all about. And she does not have to announce til about July or so. As I've noted before, the only ones who have to announce now are those who need to establish name recognition. Just look at all the conservative campaign workers now looking for a campaign. It sure is fortunate Obama has now innoculated himself against the charge of sympathy with radical Islam. Doing more to topple Gadhafi--now, not later--would clinch this. But we should in fact not wish Palin to jump in. |
