Subject: BS: How sincere the Torys are From: Dave Hanson Date: 17 Oct 11 - 02:46 PM I'll tell you how sincere Cameron is, he has just had the bosses of the top power companies in to find ways of reducing peoples power bill's. The conclusion of these talks is that if you are paying too much, it's your own fault, and they won't do anything about it. What a set of wankers. Dave H |
Subject: RE: BS: How sincere the Torys are From: GUEST,Eliza Date: 17 Oct 11 - 02:51 PM I'm so glad someone else is cross! They're quite mad. You can't change your power provider MID-CONTRACT, there are penalties to pay, and the wretched things last a whole year. And what about their huge profits? Making billions, and then telling us to insulate our houses more efficiently. They'll be telling us to wear woolly hats and anoraks indoors next. He actually said people are wasting heat. We're not, but the bills are getting so big we're turning the heating off in order to have enough money to eat. And they've cut the Winter Fuel Payment. I bet THEY don't sit shivering in their luxury homes. Scandalous! |
Subject: RE: BS: How sincere the Torys are From: DMcG Date: 17 Oct 11 - 03:02 PM As someone who has switched in the past, I've had no end of hassle with, for example, the old supplier threatening to sue on several occasions because they hadn't updated their records properly so both companies were convinced they were my supplier. |
Subject: RE: BS: How sincere the Torys are From: fat B****rd Date: 17 Oct 11 - 03:20 PM Yeah!!!!!!!!!! All of the above. Dave and Co didn't half give them energy folks what for, eh?. With my current (sorry) supplier I'm not doing too badly, but the outlook and the present for many ordinary people is awful. |
Subject: RE: BS: How sincere the Torys are From: Richard Bridge Date: 17 Oct 11 - 03:51 PM They probably hosted £100 per plate charity dinners for him... |
Subject: RE: BS: How sincere the Torys are From: Big Al Whittle Date: 17 Oct 11 - 03:53 PM Very weird situation. the present prices are clearly inflationary. Perhaps they should be made to give rebates - they have obviously taken too much off us. Or perhaps they could be made to give some other form of restitution. Changing supplier is a nightmare. |
Subject: RE: BS: How sincere the Torys are From: Lox Date: 17 Oct 11 - 03:59 PM now now folks ... ... they have to cover the costs .... .... of lining the shareholders pockets .... |
Subject: RE: BS: How sincere the Torys are From: Stower Date: 17 Oct 11 - 04:23 PM Since the Tories are hell-bent on an unfettered market, and they clearly want education and health to be completely part of that market, then why would we expect anything else? What really puzzles me is why any of the electorate vote them in when their plans and plots are transparent - more of what we had last time. It's such a shame we don't even have an effective opposition. |

Subject: RE: BS: How sincere the Torys are From: Penny S. Date: 18 Oct 11 - 05:07 PM Only now we get to know that the Tories are run by the Tea Party funders. And I suspect that most conservatives would not want to vote Republican, or have the people who submit pre-written legistlation to the Federal government doing the same for us. They weren't transparent about that. |
