Real MEN - use the seat of their jeans or arm-pits of their T-shirts when paper towels are lacking. However, most lower-region Mudcatters appear too prissy....so this is a workable alternative.

We first encountered these in Paris, France....five years ago.

Dry in less than FIVE seconds.

Quiet too.

Nice corporation; good investment.

Who cares about paper towels?

What I wanna' know is how in the hell you can makes asswipes so gawddamned impossibly thin that you need 2 feet of them to make one wipe and Jesus H. Christ his own fuckin' self can't pull them off the gigantic roll hidden deep inside the monster size wall mount roll holder that you damn near fall off the can trying to access...AND WHEN YOU DO you can only get it to move an inch before the paper breaks!!!!??????!!!!!

AND EVEN WHEN YOU HAVE A HUGE WAD OF THIS "PAPER" IT IS SO WAXY THAT IT SMEARS RATHER THAN WIPES AND YOU HAVE TO REPEAT THE ENTIRE FUCKING PROCESS 14 MORE TIMES!!!!!!

IF I CARRIED A GUN I'D BLAST THE THINGS OFF THE WALL THEN FIND THE COCKSUCKER WHO INVENTED THEM AND BLOW HIS ASS TO KINGDOM COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

........pant....pant....pant.......

One possible remedy for balky motion-sensing paper towel dispensers would be to have a backup system that's voice-activated. If waving your hand in front of the sensor doesn't make it spit out a towel, just call the machine a "stupid motherfucking piece of shit" and, zip, out it comes.

Face it, Bobert. It's just you. (grin)

Look, this whole thing about only using paper is totally stupid anyway. It doesn't work very well at all. It will never get you really clean. What should be provided is a device that provides...or sprays...clean water. Such a device exists. It's called a bidet. And in Asia or the Middle East, a separate water jug is provided. North Americans are, however, so backward, so squeamish, and apparently incapable of relating to anything they didn't think of themselves....plus ABSOLUTELY SCARED shitless of their OWN SHIT (!!!)....

...that I know there's probably no use even talking to you about it. Specially Spaw. ;-D The silly fucker is hopeless.

So just keep bitching about the inadequate paper and enjoy yourselves.

You need a little plastic teapot-shaped thing full of water. You direct the spout where it's needed and you're the cleanest clean you've ever been. (Courtesy of all West Africans)

What bugs me is the toilet flusher that goes off after you sit down and nearly blows you clean off the seat - not to mention getting your butt wet.

Tangentially-quasi on topic:
Re: auto-dispensing devices:
Pyrates Royale Cruise: 2009:(sorry, it looks like the ":" dispensing machine is stuck in the on position.

The band took a cruise with several of our fans to Bermuda. We had a great time. A fair number of our fellow non-band-fan passengers were unfortunately obnoxious self absorbed Ugly American tourists.
One of the features of these cruises is that there is ALWAYS food available. No one will ever starve on a cruise ship.
Another feature is the self-dispensing hand sanitizer ball. Since our co-passengers can't be trusted with normal hygiene, these little ball-shaped dispensers on poles were everywhere on board. Their photocells were always at the ready, waiting for an initiating hand pass.
I don't normally do breakfast, got up early one morning to see what all the fuss was about.
I joined the line behind a fellow who had obviously been to many breakfast buffets. His plate was piled high with eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausages; but this wasn't enough for him. The one thing he needed to make his world perfect was French Toast. Unfortunately one of the hot plate burners the chef was using had gone T.U., and he was doing everybody's orders as fast as he could on one.
From the way this guy was complaining you would have thought that the extra wait of a few minutes was a war-crime. "You should get another grill up here right away. Why aren't there two cooks here. Don't you people know how to do anything right???", etc. etc.
As he whined on, the roll of the ship repeatedly eased his plate under the sensor of the hand-cleaner ball that he was leaning on..."Why don't you (whirrr) folks get more staff (whirrr) up here to (whirrr) fix this problem (whirrr). It's simply tolerable that (whirr) this kind of shoddy (whirrr) service is allowed (whirr)." The funniest part about this is that the guy was doing it himself. He got his food and waddled off to his table.
I hope he enjoyed the French Toast. I know that those biscuits and gravy were probably disappointing.

Why can't they use one if them Motion Detector thingies on traffic signals. Then we wouldn't have to wait for two minutes for the light to change when you are the only car in sight. ('cept of course the for cop waiting just up the road) Grrr.

There are many places in the world where taking a crap is not a pleasant experience to western folk.

""Why can't they use one if them Motion Detector thingies on traffic signals""

Some cities do use 'em. Not sure if they work that well, (expecially if you drive a small car or motorcycle and are at the light alone). But, I am confident they are expensive.

We got motion sensors and in-ground sensors. They only work well if programmed correctly, but they can "work".

"Then we wouldn't have to wait for two minutes for the light to change when you are the only car in sight." Ahhh, you actually wait?

Ahem... speaking as an engineer with a master of science degree in transportaion planning and engineering, allow me to explain something. Traffic lights, stops signs, etcetera, are traffic control devices. If there ain't no traffic, I'm outta control. I regularly do myself and the planet a favour by ignoring them if I am alone at the intersection. AND, I have explained this to more than one yellah stripe (RCMP). Never got a ticket.

What I find comical happens at one set of lights very near my house. There is an advance green opposite the exit from a strip mall I frequent. When I see that the major street has a red light, I have a red light and there is NO opposing traffic I make a left. Often as not, the driver behind me, whilst remaining at the red light, honks the horn noisily and the driver on the main street to my left does the same... both of them furiously pointing at the read light.

WTF? I wave and smile.

There is the Urnal motion sensors. One wasn't working and a friend of mine complained to the maintainance staff. They said the sensor was geared to size and he must be just undersized:)

Ever been in a washroom doing number two, when the motion sensor lights go out...it's a unique experience.

I have been in that situation at work when the motion sensor lights have gone out, it's very disconcerting especially when it's completely pitch black. This happened to me and I had to feel my way to the door move around a bit for the lights to come back on and go back to finish off what I was doing. Luckily it was just to wash my hands but it could have been so much worse.

Amazing isn't it, they can recognize six inches of paper but can't spot a 20 foot car;-)
