Detestable features of many -isms aka ideologies include:

• claiming to be the solution of all problems
• bullying non-believers
• ignoring or denouncing any arguments to the contrary
• serving as an excuse for selfish behaviour.

"I like to go without clothes" is quite a different statement from "I am a nudist". The former can be safely assumed to apply to dachshunds of all regions.

Detestable features of nudism? OK, some bits could do with ironing I suppose... But detestable? Haven't had too many complaints...

My dog isn't nude, but being very short haired and this hot summer, his normally black arse is looking decidedly pink at present.

But he isn't of German extraction. Middle East, I think.. (Greyhound.) Although he was born and raised in Ireland for racing till we gave him a retirement.

As to dressing him up? mmm.. Some of those pictures were funny, some the product of a disturbed mind. Right! Where's my camera? Hound! Fetch my latex nurse's costume!

Hardly any -ism is becoming (to the -ist), whatever the region. But what is Dachsundism anyway? "Dachs" is German for "badger" (probably a mock-Germanization of Latin "taxus"), and "undism" may be a typo for "nudism". Now nudism shares some detestable features with other -isms, but being nude definitely becomes badgers and dogs alike.

Dachshundism is a proud and thriving religion. It began a long time ago in Germany. At first it was only a localized phenomenon, but it soon won acolytes in every part of the world. What better thing to worship than the Dachshund? There were setbacks to Dachshundism when the 2 world wars came along, causing many foolish people in the Allied nations to stop worshipping Dachshunds because they were "German" dogs! This shocking form of prejudice fortunately soon subsided as the natural cuteness and lovableness of Dachshunds overcame it. Dachshunds are clearly Nature's most wonderful canine form and are destined to rule.
