So, I could get most of these lyrics by ear, I find in some questionable holes from discussion about the song from one of those old google group chats (here).

Also, here's about all the talk about Dave Macon chords you could ever need:

Some people think the chorus ends "I possess the inclination," but I don't think that's right, because what does he possess the inclination for?

Anyway, let me know if you agree or not with my transcription of it

(spoken) Let's go buddy

Come to town the other night, called myself a perfect teacher
After talkin' the whole town out, everybody said "there's a natch'l born reacher!"

Oh worthy 'f estimation, after long consideration
There's a great reputation, I possess Thee in The Nation

Ain't no use to grieve and cry, for you've got to live until you die
But if you take the suicide route, your soul is lost for the sweet bye 'n bye

People used to preach the Bible and the Saviour crucified
Now they're preaching for the money, and the money-multiplied

May be so, but I don't know, but I know I believe I'm right
Something more than a radio to keep a man home and quiet at night

God placed Adam & Eve in the garden, He also showed them the tree of life
But when they disobeyed his word they soon realized sin and strife

Worthy of estimation after long consideration, it's the greatest recitation and possession in the nation. Something like that. Itso lyrics are religious in nature so it makes sense he would talk about the recitation, or Bible.
