Hi All,

Hope all is well.

After a fantastic evening of Robin Dale's magical images & Graeme Miles' wonderful words and music last Thursday, (we are already looking forward to Robin's presentation of "Down The Sands To Whitby Oh" next year); we are in for another treat this coming Thursday, November 23rd, when we welcome Jim Sharp & Ed Pickford to The Welly.

Two North East Folk Performers who are held in the very highest esteem here in our region and further afield. Jim's singing is a force of nature and has influenced so many, including yours truly, to a huge extent; and Ed's songwriting....well, it's Ed Pickford for gaawwds sake!!

Hope to see some of you at The Welly on Thursday, best get along in plenty of time if you are planning on attending, it should be nice and cosy!

Doors: 8pm
Start: 8.30pm

The Welly meets every Thursday at:

The Wellington Inn
High Street
Wolviston Village
County Durham
TS22 5JY

Details of all things WellySings here:

The Welly Folk Club

Cheers,

Mike

On a Guest nights we go around the room for the first 30/45 mins....then 40/45mins from our Guest....then break for a chat....and Brother Tom's Raffle!....then a few more songs from around the room....then finish with 40/45mins from our Guest.....we try to get around all those who want to have a sing/play....however, invariably on our Guest nights, that is not possible.....we do have on average three singarounds a month though.....and we always get around everyone who wants to do a bit on those nights....at least once!!

With songs like: "The Worker's Song" (Handful Of Earth), "Pound A Week Rise", "Mother Jones", "One Miner's Life", "Strange Lover Is A Coalmine", "Poldark Rides Again", "I Am Coal", "Farewell Johnny Miner", "Ah Cud Hew"....we are really looking forward to welcoming Ed Pickford & Jim Sharp to The Welly Folk Club tonight.

Cheers,

Mike

Cheers,

Mike
