Subject: Lyr Add: SEVEN DEADLY SINS (The Dubliners) From: Owlkat Date: 06 Jan 00 - 02:13 AM Hi hi, So here's the thing. This song lists only five sins. To whit...
Some say that kissin's a sin
Now if it wasn't legal then the lawyers they would sue
Now some say that gamblin's a sin
And the prisons would be full of folk who made a bet or two
Now some say that swearin's a sin
And the prisons would be full of folk who made a curse or two
Now some say that smokin's a sin
And the prisons would be full of folk who had a puff or two
Some say that drinkin's a sin
And the prisons would be full of folk who had a pint or two
Years ago I got this song off of a Dubliners tape, and I've always wondered what happened to the rest of the sins. Come to think of it, I don't even know what the other sins are. Personally, I never really thought about sin as a kind of thing to worry about. I prefer good old-fashioned Jewish guilt. |
