As well as ambitions to annex Greenland, President Elect Trump also intends to change the name of The Gulf of Mexico to The Gulf of America.

I don't think the lyrics will work as well, do you?

"We fired our guns and the British kept a-comin'
There wasn't as many as there was a while ago
We fired once more and they began to runnin'
On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of America "

The possibilities seem endless for revised traditional songs: "Greenland Whale Fisheries" and "Cana-dee-i- o" just off the top of my head. Not to mention recruiting songs intended for those who can be persuaded to put their lives on the line to fight in inexplicable wars of conquest with Mexico and Denmark as well.

Historically there has been something of a correlation between bad governance and good music. For the latter, I anticipate a golden age.

.... Hm: I was thinking of starting about halfway between Paul Simon's America and Joni Mitchell's Big Yellow Taxi, but the Muse is out to lunch.

Even old New York
Was once New Amsterdam...
.

Erm, unless y'all Redcoats be planning to invade again; sing it the the old way and explain it to all the youngsters... ie: where the U.S.S.R. used to was and what a B.O.A.C. was for.
