Subject: Mudcat Name Change From: wysiwyg Date: 21 Jan 01 - 04:29 PM Praise is now WYSIWYG. 'Nuff said. Accept no substitutes. Observant Mudcateers may notice I have a second membership as The Sugar Dog. Long story. No tricks, just a long story. You'll see her at the Tavern and in blues threads, mostly. ~S~ |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Name Change From: SINSULL Date: 21 Jan 01 - 05:14 PM Two name changes??? I'm with Amergin. You're gonna be in trouble...(sing song). Does this mean that I can change my name to Praise now? |
|
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Name Change From: MudGuard Date: 21 Jan 01 - 05:28 PM Praise, you should not have done it. I associate WYSIWYG with (usually) bad software, which I usually call WYSIWYD (what you see is what you deserve!) as normally good software (e.g. html editors) is better if it does not have WYSIWYG (e.g. Word as HTML-editor) MudGuard (who is also guilty of having done a name change but I think by now it is superannuated and therefore no longer punishable...)< |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Name Change From: Tinker Date: 21 Jan 01 - 05:44 PM Thank you mudguard, I didn't get the new name meaning at all.... Yeah, I know, sometimes I'm a little slow, and sleep has been lacking lately. Tinker |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Name Change From: wysiwyg Date: 21 Jan 01 - 05:49 PM I don't recall asking for advice and any explanations would be a foolish superfluity. Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Name Change From: flattop Date: 21 Jan 01 - 06:03 PM I wouldn't have suggested it if it didn't give you a bit of room to maneuver, Wiz. Fart Blossom is good. I like that one. |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Name Change From: wysiwyg Date: 21 Jan 01 - 06:37 PM Well, flattop, if you come for our house blessing you can check it out for yourself. Tellya whut. We'll assign the farting functions to Sugar Dog, that oughtta take care of it. Poll the Orillians and see when everyone could come for a pajammie party and we'll schedule the house blessing accordingly. Late spring, early summer-- sleep-out weather for the hardy privacy freaks in the pop-up camper. House accommodations for the rest. Cooking party, music, a wild time. ~MaTilde Mesmer |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Name Change From: wysiwyg Date: 21 Jan 01 - 06:45 PM Rick, our jam pals were here Friday night. First time I played since the fire over a month ago, on anything. I autoharped a storm up on the electric Oscar through the Roland Bolt 60 tube geetar amp, with a geetar player on either side to which chords my fingers were hitting and follow along. I thought I would die of pleasure from the blast-- the sound waves coming up at me from the harp on the desk tilted to my face, the soundbox of the desk as one amp, the Roland, and twin geetars right in my ears. I think I am HEALED, thank you JAYZUSS! Also I hammered the harp with my favorite hammer, a stainless steel iced tea spoon. (I'll use it till Spaw sends me a bone whacker.) Of course I had the slider out and thought of you, and all the help you've given me, but alas, a more experienced slider captured its heart for the evening after I'd warmed the cockles of its heart. Come on over with Duckboots. We'll play, but more important, we'll LAFF. You make cake and stidney pie with Hardiman. ~SliDROOLS! |
|
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Name Change From: flattop Date: 21 Jan 01 - 07:22 PM What I see is you sending Rick Sli-DROOLS. You're hopping tonight you dirty dog. Can't say I have anything booked for late spring or early summer and we won't be able to blame snowstorms. A friend just advised me over the phone, "You're dead a long time. If you can enjoy a few moments before then, go for it."

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Name Change From: flattop Date: 21 Jan 01 - 09:52 PM Jesus Praise, every name you signed with tonight sounds better than WYSIWYG. What were you thinking? Ya gotta warm up before you start writing something as important as a pseudonym. Do you hear Scatophagous singing Dung Beetle music? |
|
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Name Change From: Matt_R Date: 21 Jan 01 - 09:59 PM Oooooh I'll give you poetic license on that one, flat, but the suffix "-phagus" is found in "sarcophagus". WYS's name had "-phagous", which references molds and bacterias. Ick. |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Name Change From: wysiwyg Date: 21 Jan 01 - 10:03 PM Dharmadear, come on ahead! Help plan the house blessing. Imagine... we all gather... oh. Folks, this is going to be a Christian event through and through. Not saying there won't be much revelry the night before and after.... OK, we all gather outside, there are some tunes played... yeah, YOU GUYS, tell me what you'll play... the blessings begin, the incense pot is fired up, the holy water sprinkler gets going, we all go inside--- and each Mudcatter gets a room to be in charge of. You'll host that room-- there will be parishioners here, so DO be yourselves!!! You light the candles, read a prayer, do a song, open the windows to let the smoke out if it gets too thick.... like that. Cool? Who's in? Then what? Oh, and flattop? Mudcat name? Fuggahdavit! *G* ~Flimsy Whimpers |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Name Change From: wysiwyg Date: 21 Jan 01 - 10:55 PM Well. Ectually. It's the blood pressure meds, the adrenal system, and having had a bang-up counseling catharsis recently with a need to play hard now. BP is up and adrenal recharge nearly complete I think. I'll pay for this in the next couple of days. But it's fun while it's going on, and if I take more BP med now to bring it down then the BP will be too low when the adrenals slump, and they still do. And if I allow that, it's back to being flat on the couch with metabolism slumping as a result, too. Part of what I deal with. Just another side of me. It is all leveling out though, at last, and I don't have to choke down a tureen full of vitamins twice every day anymore. If I work it right I can go swimming tomorrow. It's been months. Pool's been just too cold for the amount of heat I can generate. Thanks for playing, flattop. You are and have been a good and dear friend. Write me sometime, huh? I worry about you. You know we can always work a little letter-writing break into your work, OK? ~Yore Dearhearted Pennsyltucky PenPal |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Name Change From: Burke Date: 22 Jan 01 - 08:17 PM So is Wiz what we call you for short? How about for long, how is that pronounced? Wizzy-Wig? Changing your name is much better than that idea you had of deleting your identity completely. Glad you decided to stick around. My only complaint is for future catters. Every post you've ever made is now listed under your new name. References within the thread will be to your old name. Very confusing. Just as an example, I was trying to understand what the deal was with annamill's gathering. I would never have found out about the earlier gathering's at annap's if there had not been a thread with the title: Annap is now Annamill. |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Name Change From: wysiwyg Date: 22 Jan 01 - 09:25 PM Well, anyone who is real confused can do a search on my new name and find this thread. That's one reason I started it. Or they can simply ask. Ya know what? Whatever I do pisses someone off and I always get to hear all about it. Funny thing though. Lotsa times whatever someone is pissed off about is something I have done because I gave careful consideration to someone else's opinion just previous. So, WYSIWYG. ~S~
