Subject: John the baptist From: Wolfgang Date: 11 May 01 - 09:16 AM For a long time I've been looking for these lyrics:
I'm John the Baptist And this is my friend Salome. Now I've come close to finding them on this website: http://www.verkens.demon.nl/lyrics/lyr03-06.htm However, this website always throws me out just when the lyrics are about to appear. It drives me mad. Could someone please help me? Wolfgang |
Subject: Lyr Add: JOHN THE BAPTIST (John Martyn) From: Sorcha Date: 11 May 01 - 10:00 AM That page doesn't exist anymore, but Google I managed to get to the Google cache site:
John the Baptist
I'm John the Baptist
And it's alright,
She dances for me
And it's alright,
With the revelations granted
And it's alright,
I'm John the Baptist
And it's alright,

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: John the baptist From: Wolfgang Date: 11 May 01 - 10:34 AM A double thanks, Sorcha, first for the lyrics and then for the hint how to improve my search next time. I was at google but I didn't know about the caches yet (I could follow your path, so now I know). Wolfgang |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: John the baptist From: GUEST,Dita (at work) Date: 11 May 01 - 12:54 PM This song was written by John Martyn, and recorded by him and his then wife Beverly, on the album "Stormbringer." The only other recording I have encountered was by Hunter Muskett, the band that gave he folk scene "Silver Coin" love, john. |
