When I consider the possibilities of ever speaking to Mr. Shatner either in the flesh (gasp) or online, and the possibilitiew of speaking to spaw either in the flesh (doubtful) or online (this could happen). I am gonna have to say that this Southern Lady casts her very important vote for ............ Spaw.

By God, that is a quote to remember! Take note, narcissistic males everywhere...

We just phoned in to the Shatner headquarters to get his comment on coming up a poor third, or perhaps tied for 4rth....with Woody Allen. His first words were "What, YOU again? I thought I told you NEVER TO CALL THIS NUMBER AGAIN!!! YOU, STUPID, F..." We are unable at this time to quote his further comments, which rambled on for some time and had little or nothing to do with the main election issue, namely his sexiness as compared to Spaw, etc.

We do feel, however, that Shatner is doing himself no favour by demonstrating poor grace under pressure...not the sort of behaviour that wins elections.

Very hard choice here. Shatner looks bad, and sounds worse, but Spaw SMELLS bad... and it doesn't matter what a man looks like in the dark.

Carol - I think you mean indepedent. There is no independant party in this election. There is a party for pedants, however, so maybe that is what you meant. The Pedantic Party candidate is Woody Allen.

I think you make a good point about Patrick Stewart. Very well, Patrick Stewart is now in the running for the Next Generation Party, with 1 vote!

Patrick Stewart always gets my vote for sexiness. Alan Rickman comes in a close second.

Well, it's Spaw - 7, Shatner - 0. This is a surprise beginning, in what was expected to be a very tough race, but only a few votes are in. Gotta vote for Spaw too. I will qualify my vote by saying that I have *no* idea what Spaw looks like, so I have to base my votes on personality alone. Spaw is gregarious, funny as all hell, and fun to watch (even when he's riled up).

Whereas Shatner has no personality at all. ;D

You know, I don't know if I should say this publicly, but I think William Shatner looks a lot like Rick Fielding. Of course, I may be mistaken because I've seen Fielding only once, at a time when he was "indisposed"... Well, take a look at Fielding's pictures here (click), and tell me if you agree.

I have to vote for Spaw, for many reasons. One is that there are no possums allowed on the Enterpsie which is really unfair, and the other is that Shatner couldn't blow one if he swallowed the tail first, cuz of how he is so serious. Furthermore, Shatner never fine-tuned a fourbarrel or drove a nail in a glasspak to make a '59 BelAir sound like a racing car in his life!! Nor faked a main, I am sure. And Shatner is fat, while Spaw is lean and tan and has a sixpack. Or two. Under his chin!!

I figure you Americans have almost recovered by now from the Bush-Gore fiasco, so it's time to introduce something equally contentious. There you have it. Now, I know that William Shatner is a Canadian, but don't let that worry you...he's a movie star fer chrissake. He's like Schwarzenneger. It no longer matters where he was born.

And he starred on an American-made prime-time TV show, so if that ain't good enough, I don't know what is.

A vote for Shatner is a vote for international understanding, whereas a vote for Spaw is a vote for...ummm...well, geez...

Hell, I don't know what it's a vote for. The mind boggles.
