Subject: RE: Help: Problems recording to minidisc From: AKS Date: 15 Feb 02 - 08:20 AM If I'm not mistakinf, the sound port output gives a line-level signal which is too much for the 'mic in' of the MD; try feeding it into the 'line in' instead. AKS |

Subject: RE: Help: Problems recording to minidisc From: GUEST,JTT Date: 15 Feb 02 - 06:59 AM My RZ-700 did come with the USB gadget, but I haven't found it that good at recording; the son - a music head who knows everything, but at the moment travelling between Aussie cities - said the jack worked better. Plugged into the AC? What's the AC, please? |
Subject: RE: Help: Problems recording to minidisc From: George Seto - af221@chebucto.ns.ca Date: 15 Feb 02 - 06:31 AM Your R700 did not come with the USB -> Fibre-optic gadget? Was your laptop plugged in to the AC? Was the fuzziness due to that? |
Subject: Problems recording to minidisc From: GUEST,JTT Date: 15 Feb 02 - 06:17 AM My son is wandering the world, and I said I'd send him some blank minidiscs for his birthday, so he wouldn't have to carry too much weight. I bought him the Chemical Brothers' new CD and Leonard Cohen's latest for when he comes back, but thought I'd record them to minidisc for him to carry with him, and include them as a surprise with the rest. But while the Chemical Brothers sounds all right (if you like that kind of thing), Lenni sounds fuzzy. I was using a jack from my PowerBook's sound port to the Sony MZ-R700 minidisc recorder's microphone port. And it wasn't the particular disc; I tried on a second one and it was fuzzy too. Any thoughts? |
