Subject: Bill Keith/Earl Scruggs Lawsuit? From: Steve Latimer Date: 13 Jul 03 - 07:29 AM In the Pete Seeger Banjo Vituosity thread Rick Fielding made this statement. A great transitional player was Bill Keith who transcribed Scruggs Playing in the sixties, A LOT of Northerners got the style from that. This incredible book almost didn't happen.....Louise's lawyers had to settle a lawsuit on the courthouse steps, rewarding Keith for all the work he'd put into it! Glad they did! Rick, can you give us more details? |
