"Please get some milk on the way home sweetheart, the monster cow-juice imbiber has been at it again!" is the name of the number one country hit by that famous Lincolnshire band Penelope and the Ice breakers - who said this thread has nothing to do with music?

Your insides must be very strange if you can pop kidneys out of your arse, you could make a lot of money on japanese telly doing that so you could.

This is becoming unbearable. I presume that this site does have a serious purpose. Forgive me, but when I read posts urging the procurement of small quantities of milk for personal consumption, I think it entirely understanable that I turn bright red, start to tremble and almost pop a kidney out of my arse, out of sheer fury.

I will be discussing this with Thornton Curtis and Melton Ross at the lodge this afternoon.

Splendid Dai - we'd love your company. The whole Danelaw thing turned into a bit of a damp squib round here, and most of us don't bother with the old viking ways. Watch your step in Worlaby, just up the road though.

There - a sensible posting with mass-appeal. Not a patch though, on the fascinating exploits of El Ted and his three correspondants that has kept us so rivetted over the past few years.

Mrs Drinkall from number 21 is downstairs, reeking of Yardley and reading a People's Friend. I suspect that she may have been at the Emva Cream.

Unbelievably, i have so far avoided suffering at the hands of messrs Oaklet etal (aka Pinch the Norse - some deviant racial abuse no doubt harking back to the days of the Viking invader in these parts). However I am at a loose end oon friday night and if you could confirm starting time i shall ssee if I can egt the ould truck to struggle up to Ferriby(?) to complete my education. D

Sigh................ I thought I just did, however I will give you more comprehensive directions.

1. Go over the humber bridge towardds lincolnshire -that is the south side of the humber.

2.Take the Barton turning

3.Go right round the roundabout - you cant miss the roundabout it is a big round thing covered in grass and that.

4.Take the first available left turn that says south ferriby and keep going untill you see the cement works dead ahead.Oh, before you see the cement works the road vears left about a mileish from that roundabout.

5.The "Hope and Anchor" is on your right signed "Hope and Anchor"

Hope to see you there.

The Hope and Anchor restaurant-that-sells-beer sits on an alluvial promentary at the confluence of the river Ancholme and the Humber estuary very close to 17 contented Freisians. The grid reference has two letters and 6 digits but I don't know what they are.

If you approach Bob the landlord and exclaim at the top of your voice "thank's for last night, honey - you were fantastic", he will give you a free pint of what-you-fancy.

So there.

Oh, it is in South Ferriby Sluice (head towards Mr Benson's huge tripe works) in British North Lincolnshire.

Raggy, looking forward to seeing you at the Huddersfield this Saturday and maybe have a foaming beaker or twelve of Sir Arthur Guinnesses stagger soup.

Thanks a million for that frank, honest, truethfull and unadorned description of one of the hardest working bands on the circuit. "Punch The Horse" is indeed all you say and more, as will all the thousands of people we have entertained over the years vouch for.Not to forget all the jolly publicans whose coffers we have stuffed with many the fee.

For the one or two who seem to still have have trouble with what we are and what we look like,if you go to members photos look under "Oakley" and "Ossonflags" and all will be revealed.

O, and by the by, we are playing at "Hope and Anchor" this friday with the virile and boyish oaklet on the fiddle - and sometimes mandolin

Sorry you can't get KJ, but no doubt Colin will think of you as he downs his nth pint at the GEORGE SESSION, BARTON TONIGHT (TUESDAY). It should be interesting: photos from paperman to laugh at and sausage and chips 'cos pub team's at home (bloke in corner remember to do without tea to compensate).

Ossie just reminded me of a little known fact that is as true today as when the Prophet pointed it out:

Sayings of the Prophet No 11)

There are some animals that are so well camouflaged that they have not been discovered yet.
