If memory serves, it was set up to be a weekly gathering place. SINSULL was the main originator. I believe Thursdays evening, Mudcat time, was set for the gathering. Maybe someone else will come along to confirm this.

McGrath, Weighty Issues is the name of an alternate room in the Mudchat. It is intended to be a resource for support and advice for those of us who could stand to lose a stone or two.

I just don't think the quick, brief, on-the-fly discourse style of the chat room is a very good mode for talking about weighty issues. If I want to say something about an important issue, I'll usually want to use a few more words than that little box in the chat room provides. I'll also want to edit it, proofread it, and send it through a spellchecker so I don't look like an idjit.

The room is usually used when two weight watchers meet up in the general chat and want to share successes. I have lost and gained the same 8 lbs. three times since the room opened. But one Atkins dieter has lost almost 30lbs. Not bad!

The basic trick, surely, is not to have anything edible or drinkable anywhere near your computer, and get so interested in what you're doing on the Internet that you lose all trace of time and miss the odd meal.

Funny, i have asked many times while in the chat why no one was ever in the weighty issues room I figured it was some place to go if you were talking about something so heavy that the regular chat room did not want to deal with it. I am on Paltalk on thursday nights so i guess that explains why i never saw it in use.
