BS: Strange bar blocking messages

Can anyone explain the bar blocking out some of the messages on the Earthquake/Tsunami Thread, it has happened to me only on this particular thread, Brucie has also encountered this bar on the same Thread.
John from Kansas come in, your expertise is required.

I have encountered this on other threads from time to time...and I have no idea what causes it or how to fix it.

What happens is this.

A grey bar (1" x 4" approx) will appear on some post to a thread. It blocks part of what's written. However, if ya go to the tool bar on your computer (if that's waht it's called) and go to view and then click either refresh or reload (depending on your browser), it clears the grey bar. The grey bar doesn't stay with that particular post forever. Seems random.

I have highlighted a post the grey bar appeared in/on and copied/pasted to Microsoft Word. The bar which was showing when I cut/pasted did not appear on the Microsoft Word page.

If you right click on your desktop in an area where there isn't any link, Windows will give you a dialog box. Choose "refresh" and this will clear up and leftover clutter. No one has ever suggested that Windows is perfect, and it sounds like there is something that is passing over that part of the monitor that won't clear by itself. I notice the inability to clear off old information when I use FrontPage in the html view, and there are icons on my desktop that have problems (the Norton Firewall thingie that pops out from the right hand side sometimes leaves a line behind when it has opened to tell me it has instituted some "new rule.")

Right click. Refresh. That should do it.

I think the grey bar is the exact size and shape of the blue rectangular box just above the box for entering text at the end of each thread, that contains the "Add to Tracer" button and translation features. I don't know how the grey bar actually relates to that blue rectangular box, but I bet there is a relationship of some sort.
