I once heard that in America one is assumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Why are you so-called americans making such unamerican comments about a person who has not yet been tried? Do any of you actually know Mr. Jackson or have attended parties at his home? Just curious.

Michael Jackson's dad is, apparently, complaining that the charges are racist.
Racism is a problem in this country, but I don't think it's Michael J's problem. That guy is just plain weird! I don't know whether he's guilty or not. But he's weird. The people who made him weird have a good deal to answer for.

I liked his music back when. When he started showing the first sign of weirdness he put me off. Since then, he has been giving me the creeps. Is he guilty? Dunno for sure, I will leave this to the courts; meanwhile, no kid of mine would be allowed anywhere near him, just for his weirdness.

I don't think we can like someone's music independently of what we think of the persona the singer projects. If I still like his early stuff it's because I associate it with the younger, simpler, normal (?) MJ, and not with the egocentric, nature-perverting creature he has become.
