I confess. I asked that the thread be closed for a couple of reasons.

#1 - I started the thread to make a statement but it seemed like I was fishing for compliments and it got embarassing.

#2 - It looked like it might get nasty

Well, I don't think of Bill as a romantic partner, needless to say. No, I think of him more as a role model...one who demonstrates just how far one can stretch the performing arts. He dares to go where no man has gone before... ;-)

And I really DID get to like him after I read his book: "Get A Life". It's quite good, and very funny.

This evening? I'm doing way too much Mudcatting, and I need to get some sleep. Earlier today there was Orillia's annual summer sidewalk sale where they close off the main street to cars, and I played a ton of music for the people passing by. Great fun. I have a friend who plays much of Gordon Lightfoot's repertoire, and I did a whole bunch of songs with him.

It was a simply gorgeous day here...perfect for the sidewalk sale.

Matter of fact, there is a bridge in Coldwater that I have been trying to sell to telemarketers who call me. It's a very neat bridge. I can't understand why no one has plunked down a cool $25,000 for it, because it is worth way more than that. Way more. Coldwater is a small town about 12 miles west of Orillia, and it has a stream running through it. The bridge crosses the stream. I am willing to sell that bridge to anyone who is willing to buy it. I planted them and they are beginning to grow tendrils. He says they're from Thomas Jefferson and that they are called climbing hyacinth so I'm hoping for a vine with large clusters of purple blooms.

Opps, as fir last night, I din't have nearly the fun that LH had since most of it was involved with tryin' unsuccessfully to get a drive belt on an old tractor... But I'll get it...

I did, however, play a little music 'round dark out back with my son, Will (Ben to you all... Don't ask...) who has come to Virginia to help his ol' man do some construction work. Will is a rap/hip hopper so we are tryin' to see if we can mix one of his songs with one of my blues songs to perform this coming Saturady at the Luray Farm Market...

But LH definately beat me out in the fun department...

I love Dianavan too. Who else has the honesty to tell it like it is. Take the Egyptian bombing. While everyone is jumping to the conclusion that it was done by the Islamic terrorists who claimed credit for it, Dianavan was pointing out that "it has something to do with Egypts agreement to supply Palestinians with gas. Dianavan certainly has quick access to sources of information denied to most of us. It would never have crossed my mind that the Jews were responsible for the Sharm-el Sheik bombings. But curiously, Dianavan has denied that that post implies anything about Israeli invovement. So what on earth can it mean? It's all very confusing.
    Did'nt Lawrence of Arabia capture Sharm-el-Sheik with his Arab irregulars once? Maybe he's had a hand in this.
