Subject: Clean up your OWN back yard Mr B
From: skarpi
Date: 02 Oct 06 - 07:26 AM

Hallo all , I am alive but I am sick at the moment I got infection
in my body a bad one ( interial ) :>( but I hope I will good again
soon.

So I was watching Oprah show last night on my TV and it was about
Healthcare in US , there was a man who had cut his arm a little
cut and went to a clinic and he to pay 551 $ for the visit ???????

I went to a doctor on Saturday in a hostpital and I paid 20 $ for it .
I got medison and I pay for that 30 $ = 50 $ for both. The diffrent
is 500$ ??? and people say Iceland is Expencive???

I also saw that she talked to a lot of woman who lived on the street
with 2 or 3 children still trying to work and provide them but they
dont have homes to go to :

We also this here in Iceland but it has been some years now since
we have had people with out homes on the street, but we have people
out on the street that are drugs addeck or drunkers .

And I heard on Friday on the news that Mr BUSH had got his money to
go on with his war in Iraq and Afganistan , its sad the greatest
nation in the world can not provite 30 million of their own people
but they can go to war witch cost lot of human lives and a lot of
money ? somethings are realy wrong here , did he ever go to school?
I wonder.

So thats why I say this : CLEAN UP YOUR OWN BACK YARD MR MUSH
before you go and clean other.

I sorry my friends but this war is not solve anything its
only going to be worse , and this will start another war..
soon .... in the middle east and that is not going to be stopped.

I just had get this out of my mind . My friends in US is there
no way to get a president who will take care of his people?
Number 1? or is just gonna be like always that you will get
a president who are always going to wars ??

well I am gonna quit this mamblingjambling , and go to sleep a little
and get well .

All the best Skarpi Iceland.

Hi Skarpi
Sorry to hear that you are unwell, I hope you recover your health soon.
I agree with you about Bush and his wars. It seems that Bush can get billions to bomb Iraq and Afganistan but he cannot get money to educate and feed the homeless and needy in the USA. I think it is because his priority is global control and not the welfare of the citizens of his nation.

Is there no end to the amount of money we can borrow?

Skarpi, I think this is the first time I have ever seen your gentleness overcome this way. I hope you are well and that you regain your sense of peace, but I agree with you about GWB!

"Is there no end to the amount of money we can borrow? "

Not in the short term there isn't. China is more than willing to lend out more. They're just waiting for the right moment to call in the loan.

skarpi,

I entirely agree with you. Hope you're feeling better soon!

If the war budget was spent on education, health care, housing, disaster relief, things would be better all around. Now, I'm speaking as a Canadian, and I wish Canada would concentrate on its own back yard too, instead of making itself a target.

Peace, Mooh.

I agree with ya Mooh.

The problem with Canada is that Bush has taken over our own back yard ... now that he has P.M. Harper setup as his northern toadie.

Get well soon, Skarpi! I find it shocking that we spend 2 billion a week in Iraq and can't find the money to take care of our own citizens. It's criminal really.

No amount of laxative will get Harper's head out of Bush's ass. I don't half mind if our good people go abroad to assist in rebuilding hospitals, schools, and infrastructure in the wake of war, but I really protest our direct involvement in hostilities. Our efforts are better spent at home providing such services for Canadians and for agencies which provide international assistance for things like the AIDS epidemic, habitat renewal, and disaster relief.

My other complaint is how all these issues distract attention from the one true dilemma of our age and that's the destruction of habitat and resources on which all living things depend. I recently read that Shrub characterized his war as a "comma" in history. It'll be less than that if nobody is around to have a history.

Peace, Mooh.

Mr. Harper will very likely lose the next election, and likely to the Liberals. Let us only hope the Liberals do not choose Ignatief as leader, as I sadly suspect he is already even further up the aforementioned foriegn orifice.

No, no, you misread. that's coma . And in addition to Dumbya at least 50 % of the U.S. electorate is in one.

Dear Canadian friends,

As one who is an admirer of your country, its values, and who has many friends among your people, I speak as a friend. But I point out how you constantly complain and blame everything on the USA. We are not responsible for who YOU elect, anymore than you are responsible for the person we elect. I refer specifically to this post:

I agree with ya Mooh.

The problem with Canada is that Bush has taken over our own back yard ... now that he has P.M. Harper setup as his northern toadie.

Then the follow ons by Mooh. I would point out that we have enough to deal with in trying to undue all that GWB has done. I would point out that you are all very fond of pointing out that Canada IS NOT the USA. I agree. But you can't have it both ways. The people of the USA didn't elect your man. And GWB didn't install him. You (collectively the electorate of Canada) did. I beg you to recognize the difference, elect people that will fight these poliicies. We will do the same, hopefully, beginning in this mid term election.

With warm regard and respect,

Mick

Skarpi, many Americans agree with you. We even wonder about how this man got elected and whether there was fraud involved in the vote counting! It is painful to be living in this country with the leader we have and see his stubborn and ill-advised behavior. I am one of the many who have lived without health insurance in a country of high cost medical care. Even with company insurance, I pay the first $1,000 out of my pocket each year before there is partial help for medical bills from my employer.

Get well soon.

Alice

Okay Mick, how's this...Harper set himself up as Bush's toadie, which is much closer to how I view it anyway. [And for the record, I have never voted for or professed a love for any ruling party in my homeland in 30 years as a voter (and never missed an election other than one municipal one when I was basically living in my car) so I have recognized the difference!]

Peace, Mooh.

I wonder...

I'm sure he went to school; but judging from his speech, I'm equally sure that his performance there matched his performance in the National Guard.

Skarpidarlin', as Alice has said, many Americans agree with you and hope the mid-term election will change the direction of our country.

I am troubled to hear you have not been well. Take good care of YOU and let not the Shrub & Co. get you down! It is good you have shared your feelings with us. A burden isn't as heavy when everyone lifts... or something like that.

Ast,

kat
