Subject: RE: BS: Secret Santa Clues and Nudges From: GUEST,My Guru's All Way S'elf Absorbed Elf Date: 11 Nov 06 - 03:41 AM Dear Mygoo, Don't always equate the accents of My Boss and that of the Scout Elf Santa chooses to speak through. The Boss said that Santa could have just as well had me use the UK spelling "Maughm", but "Somerset in their ways". Santa also wants me to throw in the American phrase "Yes Surry Bob!" for the fun of it, but neither one of us come from "those parts" and I refused. I give some of Santa's ideas framed in my speech and some ideas of my own. Oh No! Later! |

Back to the important things. Santa. My own special Santa -- Sweeties? Sweeties? Ah! Ha! You're English?, Scottish? Irish? Kiwi?. Not American, probably, unless it's a trick. Go on give me another hint. Please. Pretty please. Cheers, Joy to the World |

Subject: RE: BS: Secret Santa Clues and Nudges From: GUEST,Animaterra, where are yo-o-o-u?? Date: 10 Nov 06 - 08:20 AM I've been waiting to see you on this thread. I did leave a message for you near the start of the thread and another one further into the thread when I found the first present to put in your parcel. I don't know if you have seen the messages and are keeping admirably quiet to show how good you are and how much you deserve a present from Santa this year, or whether you just haven't seen the messages. I have been waiting for inspiration to strike on what sort of really special present you would like, and today I know what it is. I just have to hope the toymaker elves still have one in stock. I'm sure they will, but if not I'll use whatever inducements and blandishments I can to get them to whip up another one in time to send off to you. Your Secretive Santa |

Subject: RE: BS: Secret Santa Clues and Nudges From: GUEST,Sarah the Flute's Secret Santa Date: 09 Nov 06 - 08:45 PM Santa is so glad you liked the card--not admitting, of course, that it has anything to do with where Santa hangs out between shifts at the North Pole. That covered bridge thing is so that snow won't get on the bridge anyhow--mostly for people who don't travel by reindeer. Santa's still blundering about looking for the perfect present. Stay good, now. |

Subject: RE: BS: Secret Santa Clues and Nudges From: ClaireBear Date: 08 Nov 06 - 01:34 PM Oh, Santa, thank you -- I just knew you were real. And to find that I have much in common with Santa is almost too grand to take in. On such a wonderful morning, too! Now let's see...no snow, hunting season, Canada...I should have been paying closer attention to weather patterns. Must research further. Stay warm, enjoying lots of hot chocolate and cookies (or red wine and lasagne, like what I left out for you last Christmas Eve) to keep up your strength. Believe me, I know how taxing all that multitasking can be! Yours, Santee Claire |
Subject: RE: BS: Secret Santa Clues and Nudges From: GUEST, ClaireBear's Secretive Santa Date: 08 Nov 06 - 01:08 PM Santa's been so secretive as to be invisible -- busy multi-tasking to beat the band, But fear not! Your package is being assembled, though mostly in Santa's head. (It's a start!) We have very, very much in common. This Santa outpost is more northerly than your location, but at least it hasn't snowed yet. Not so much as a flurry or stray flake. (Well, lots of flakes around, but not snow-type ones!) And your Santa has yet to don winter outerwear, although some of the elves are wearing polar fleece inside Christmas Central. And I'll be keeping the reindeer inside the barn for awhile until the season for random blasting away by drunken hunters passes. So...all this information has narrowed it down, eh? SS |

Subject: RE: BS: Secret Santa Clues and Nudges From: Selchie - (RH) Date: 06 Nov 06 - 10:25 AM Oh Santa Dear, :-) I won't worry my tiny head; I'm thrilled to hear from you & curious as to who or what you are, & even more important where?? I do believe in miracles, fairies, angels, AND Santa Claus!! I know you exist, but curiouser & curiouser, am I off on a wild goose chase? Not easy for a poor little seal-girl like me, washed along on the tide ~ bobbing up & down looking for clues, swimming around in ever-decreasing circles, but happily 'wracking' my brain to find some answers. Are you a Mummer & Santa in the plays? Is it that Santa's a jolly old man? (or woman) ~ A room, a room & let him in! I know some Mummers well, close my home ~ so are you a Santa in a play? If so, lets talk folklore & traditions because if you're a Mumming/Morris person I'll soon 'winkle' you out! Then I'LL lead YOU a merry dance. You say I know OF you? I know of Santa ~ but not the real you? I'm 'fishing' for clues, so look forward to more. Tell me that fine tale, oh yes Santa please do & please send me a clue. Rosie xxxxx |

Otherwise one of the Mudcatters who has your number/email can contact her & pass on a message - unless you want to join up & send her a PM (Personal message) yourself. Good to hear Mike is back in the real world. sandra |
Subject: RE: BS: Secret Santa Clues and Nudges From: GUEST,Tawmmie (Alaska Mike's Lovely Wife) Date: 06 Nov 06 - 01:18 AM HELP! Mike got a card from his SS. I didn't even think about SS with all that's happening. How do I find out who he has so I can tell him and we can get something going. Mike is doing better but still has another week at least. It seems that he has an infection where guys don't want one. I left him a few minutes ago high on demerol and getting ready for sleep. He will have a minor surgery in the morning for this new infection. He is still very weak, can walk tho, once around the nurse's station and he's exhausted. His mind is back in the normal world now, thank goodness. He is actually getting some sleep, not much, but some. Hi everyone. Tawmmie |
Subject: RE: BS: Secret Santa Clues and Nudges From: GUEST,Jaze's Dedazzled etc *Secret Santa* Date: 06 Nov 06 - 12:53 AM Ho ho ho Jaze! The elves have done their shopping for you. However I have a problem, the Christmas fairy is desperately trying to climb to the top of the pine tree outside the back door. Her dress is in tatters, her wand is bent, and she has a silly grin on her face - I bet she's been tasting the egg nog again! As soon as I sort her out I will be able to hop on the sleigh and get your present on its way. Best wishes from Your Bedazed, Bedazzled, Bedazzlng and Somewhat Befuddled - ****Secret Santa**** |

Subject: RE: BS: Secret Santa Clues and Nudges From: GUEST,CatsPHiddle's frenetic Santa Date: 05 Nov 06 - 01:46 PM Heya Khatt, Glad to hear that the postal elves are on the job. I gave 'em all an extra tot of rum in their eggnog rations last week, and feared they had left their GPS behind and your cards ended up in Tierra del Fuego. Did you perchance receive the motorcycle card from Ohio? I miscalculated the number of stamps required on that one--one lone Santa can't always keep track of all these rogue nations and their quixotic postal requirements. Let me know. If not, it ain't over yet! Ho ho ho. Your devoted Santa |
