Tune Req: Bush Night Song + Stock-Rider's Song

I wish to locate the MUSIC to some Australian songs from the 1920s by
Richard Bayliss and William G James.
They are "Bush Night Song" and "The Stockman's Song" (or was it the Stockrider's Song?)
That's the MUSIC folks, not the lyrics, though if they come together, that's alright.

G'day Lakemen & Peace,

I saw a few copies of this sheet music book in a box at Da Capo, a music 'recycling' shop in Sydney's Glebe ... quite some time back. I left them there, as they weren't relevant to my interest in collected material with an Australian "folk" history. A 'Book Search' via their web site doesn't find anything - but such searches don't get down to the level of (essentially) loose sheet music.

I'll see if I can slip into Da Capo tomorrow to see if they still have them tucked away.

Both recorded by Peter Dawson in a medley of "Australian Bush Songs" on his mono (when did anybody last think of things in terms of "mono" and "stereo"?) LP "The Art of Peter Dawson" HMV OCLP 0719. Send me a PM with address and I might even get around to taping it for you in the next year or so.

G'day Lakeman,

When I drove past the place where Da Capo used to be, yesterday, I was worried to see the building closed and empty. Parking in the centre of Glebe is pretty dire, so I went on.

This afternoon I parked as close as I could, walked back, and found they have moved a few blocks east to upper floor rooms above Sappho Bookshop. They have a few copies of the 1922 Ricordi publication Six Australian Bush-Songs at $10 each.

I decided I probably should have a copy myself, and bought one. If you want one for yourself, I can pick up another and post it to you (unless you are in Sydney, in which case the address is now 51 Glebe Point Road, Glebe.

The National Library of Australia has online images of the sheet music for Bush Night Song (click).
