Subject: Gillian Welsh's song Caleb Mior(SP?) From: Greg0122@aol.com Date: 25 Mar 99 - 12:45 PM Does anyone have the guitar cords for this song? It's on her latest CD - Death among the Yearlings. Tks! |
Subject: RE: Gillian Welsh's song Caleb Mior From: Dave T Date: 25 Mar 99 - 08:54 PM "Caleb Meyer" by Gillian Welch & David Rawlings is a simple two chord song. The actual chords are D#m & C#. However, capo on the 1st fret and play it as Dm, C. There's actually a bit more to it than that since there are lots of embellishments you can add to play the chords and melody at the same time. However, if you start with these chords and play along with the CD you should get the hang of it. Alternatively, capo to the 6th fret and play Am, G. I'm not sure which version Gillian Welch uses so you'll have to decide which one sounds best for you. Dave T |

In the black dust towns of East Tennessee
I'm down in a hole
They search the rain for a silver cloud

There's something good in a worried song
I'm down in a hole
