woops--should have explained that those tracks are NOT necessarily from the forthcoming album, just unrecorded rarities collected from various places

I love Gillian Welch, so this is great news.

I also loved Martha Wainwright, but her latest album 'just because you're married' left me cold.

Watching Gillian Welch and her brother play live is an amazing thing to see.

Good stuff from NPR. Gillian and David led Worried Man Blues on one of Pete Seeger's Newport sessions too (findable via the playlists).

A newspaper article about the recent 'Big Surprise Tour' (Welch & Rawlings, OCMS, Justin Townes Earle and others) said they were working on a David Rawlings Machine CD which 'might never be released'. (I can't find the link now, but there's a post about it on the radio 2 f/a board a while back)
