Yell never guess wot I done found down in Davy Jone's locker - yep - yer pressie box somewot inact, mushed in places by fat whales sittin on top offit fer a bit and ragged round the edges by the tentative nibbles of giant squidders. (they don't call 'em arcatoothus fer nothin'! Bwahaha Pirate humour) Took some doin' I tells ya, but I seachred the seven seas for months and months, my labour finally rewarded.

So here's pressie box status - valuables intact, perishibles tossed, canned goods intact, christmas items out-of-date but intact. Fer being a patient santee, I'm a gonna stuff some more pressies inside, take out waterlogged coal and repackage the entire lot.

I gots my landlubbin' assistant lookin ta see iffin we can ship this mother(lode) in a trackable manner this time to avoid any further hijacks byt that evil davy jones. He et yer chocolate by the way, an the pork N beans too.

Squeaky Liz gaves me a new address but....before I sends it again, are ya 1000% sure that's the right one? Lets me know, I'm due into port this saturday for some shore leave then I'm bound for Valparaiso.

Santa hasn't forgotten you. The postal elves revolted and locked themselves in with the mailroom along with several parcels. Chief Recon Elf Tippytoes must have taken a liking to you, he volunteered to infiltrate the mailroom and sneak your parcel out. After a brief stint in the ER, he appeared with said parcel. I had to sneak down to the Post Office under cover of darkness and wait for them to open, but it is now in the hands of the USPS.

I hope you enjoyed the bits and pieces. On a farm instructors course it was once said of my boiler suit "If it fits her it will fit anybody" he wasn't trying to be cruel just acurate:) but i still never let him live it down.

Now it is time to guess and i hope there were some clues because keeping up this proper talk has been real hard work.

So the box was royal mail what a pity the post mark was smudged I really must give that postal elf an extra little something.

1. I am not LTS though I have actually seen her.
2. I usually post in another language.

Now that you'll be opening that package--I hope--I have to tell you that as we were wrapping it we noticed that the "thing" we sent for the baby says "not safe for under 3 years old" so will you please put it on a shelf until he's 3 (!) or watch him when he plays with it? Well Santa dear the wind picked up most fearful it may have blown said postal elf to Kingdom Come but i am sure he will get back on track in a couple of days then when it is all over and folks are glum I will still have a pressie to open:)

Those daschies are dashing around the room at this very moment helping me prepare the Goose and make cranberry and apple relish. The elves are sleeping but i can see noses twitching at the smell of my bacon buttie so trouble might start soon.

I'm glad you've enjoyed the selection of little knick-knack I've picked out for you, and that the elves haven't laid complete waste to your home yet. I hope you can keep them in check. I'm amazed to hear that your Dauvitt beats that bear to the chocolate santas every time. He must be swifter than I thought, because it is a very fast bear - or have you fed him so well that he's getting fat and incabable of running? I hope the two ankle biters aren't running circles round your legs, at any rate ;-)

Now, I'm anxious to know whether that final present will make it to you in time for Christmas? I had a communication from a postal elf last night, and at that time the news was that he was standing on the shore with a large body of water stretching in front of him, and the wind was picking up, so he was a bit concerned. He did promise me that he would do his utmost to get the package to you on time, and I have every faith that he will, but wind and water are two formidable forces to be reckoned with. Don't be too disappointed, Dear, if he doesn't manage after all. It will get there, never you fear!

OH DEAR! Confession time to my poor piratey SS. I have indeed stuffed up big time. I did the SS admin at the beginning of Sept and then about a month later they decided to close our office building and we moved....and guess who forgot to amend details on the SS grapevine. So my fault entirely! They are supposed to forward mail onto us but if it needed a signature they might not of done this so it might be on its way back to you on the high seas. Home address useless as the post doesn't arrive until we are all at work and they won't leave parcels and can't always get to the sorting office within the time allowed depending on day of delivery. So new work is best and Liz is passing it on.

Please accept apologies and don't make ME walk plank, get keelhauled ....maybe I should just offer myself to the shark!

Santa has been somewhat snowed under this year but we are finally now very much relieved to inform you that we have gotten our act together, and your parcel is now winging its way across the ocean to your door. It may be a tad late for Christmas, so you can think of it as a New Years present if you like.

Actually there is very little snow to speak of around here, so we really have no excuse. Hope it will be worth the wait.

Your elves did a super job of getting it to me before Christmas. I'm not one to put a gift under the tree and keep it lying there. I'm much too impatient for that. So I opened it (actually, at the post office! I told you I'm not the most patient person") And I put one of them in the car's cd player, on my way to do some Christmas shopping. The music is wonderful. Just the type of music I'd expect from a Mudcat Secret Santa.   I've only enjoyed the first one, "Because We Can."
